We spent yesterday afternoon visiting Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to get Christmas decoration photos as well as an update of the upcoming Art of Animation Resort (below, right).

Hi everyone! Today we have a major resort update, spanning the new refillable mug test (below, left) at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort to the construction progress at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Currently, the refillable mugs at Disney’s All Star Sports (below, right) have RFID chips in them – as do the standard cups – limiting the amount of soda you can pour at any given time.
Hi everyone! Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, left, in Disney’s official artwork) is really starting to take shape (below, right), adding paint to a Finding Nemo building and we’ve now also seen the first pool being built! Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to take a look at the Disney’s Art of Animation construction (below, left). It’s changed a lot since we were last there, with many guest buildings in the process of being built! Also, the years that were part of the Legendary Years resort (which never was completed) are now stripped from the main hall building (below, right). You can still see the outline of the numbers that were removed. Most of the main hall building can’t be seen from the Pop Century anymore due to the construction.

We made a stop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to see the progress on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which is set to open in summer of 2012 as Disney’s newest value resort offering (below, left). Originally slated to be the Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years, you can see that the years are still attached to the main building (below, right). Hi everyone! There is a lot of upward construction now, though all the numbers signifying the Pop Century Legendary Years (the portion of the resort never built) are still in place (below left and right). Denise thinks the coral (below, right) looks like a pack of McDonald’s french fries, so she’s now calling the main pool the “french fry pool”. 🙂
