Hi everyone! Disney’s Art of Animation Resort opened to the public on May 31st (below, left)! We booked a room for one night so that we could experience it first hand. There was a Grand Opening celebration, which included a wide variety of Disney characters, including Chip and Dale (below, right). We had a full day today, starting with a visit to a Pirate Room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (we’ll have a video soon) and then heading over to Disney’s Pop Century Resort to photograph the progress on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, left). We first noticed – while driving by the Art of Animation sign – this skull prop sitting in the parking lot of the resort (below, right). We expect it to go in the Lion King section.
Hi everyone! We spent yesterday afternoon visiting Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to get Christmas decoration photos as well as an update of the upcoming Art of Animation Resort (below, right).
Hi everyone! We went to Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to take photos and video of the continuing progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). The resort’s sections are themed after The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The Little Mermaid area is the only one that will have standard rooms as opposed to suites, utilizing the former buildings that were built originally for Pop Century’s never-built “The Legendary Years”.
Hi Everyone! We made a number of stops yesterday around Walt DisneyWorld, we’ve already shown our photos and video from the Saratoga Springs Paddock pool progress. We also went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, arriving just as the parade was making it’s way onto Hollywood Boulevard (below, left). The redesigned Cars 2 Meet & Greet (below, right) has progressed since our last visit, and should be open soon! We were told there hasn’t been a date announced yet.
Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) yesterday to take some photos and video of the progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). It’s pretty amazing to see the difference from just a couple of weeks ago! To learn more about what this new resort will feature, we have more information and concept art HERE. Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to take a look at the Disney’s Art of Animation construction (below, left). It’s changed a lot since we were last there, with many guest buildings in the process of being built! Also, the years that were part of the Legendary Years resort (which never was completed) are now stripped from the main hall building (below, right). You can still see the outline of the numbers that were removed. Most of the main hall building can’t be seen from the Pop Century anymore due to the construction.
