Hi everyone! Disney’s Art of Animation Resort opened to the public on May 31st (below, left)! We booked a room for one night so that we could experience it first hand. There was a Grand Opening celebration, which included a wide variety of Disney characters, including Chip and Dale (below, right). We had a full day today, starting with a visit to a Pirate Room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (we’ll have a video soon) and then heading over to Disney’s Pop Century Resort to photograph the progress on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, left). We first noticed – while driving by the Art of Animation sign – this skull prop sitting in the parking lot of the resort (below, right). We expect it to go in the Lion King section.
Hi everyone! Signs are appearing around Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! The first appearance of the logo sign was on the security building (which is hard to see). Now, it’s on the main building in the front of the resort (below, left). In the Cars section, a Radiator Springs Cadillac Range sign has gone up (below, right). It is only a few months until the first phase of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort opens to the public.
Hi everyone! Yesterday was a beautiful day, and we stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort to take a look at the newest progress on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, left). A Radiator Springs sign/icon is being worked on, with a pile of tires as part of it (below, right).
Hi everyone! We stopped yesterday at Disney’s Pop Century Resort to takes photos and video of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort as it progresses (below, left). It looks really colorful! Denise thinks the coral (below, right) looks like a pack of McDonald’s french fries, so she’s now calling the main pool the “french fry pool”. 🙂
Hi everyone! Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is bursting with color (below, left), with fish and coral popping in 3D from the sides of the Finding Nemo buildings (below, right). It’s been over a month since we last stopped by the resort, and it was pretty exciting to see all the changes! Hi everyone! We went to Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to take photos and video of the continuing progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). The resort’s sections are themed after The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The Little Mermaid area is the only one that will have standard rooms as opposed to suites, utilizing the former buildings that were built originally for Pop Century’s never-built “The Legendary Years”.
