We spent yesterday afternoon visiting Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to get Christmas decoration photos as well as an update of the upcoming Art of Animation Resort (below, right).
The Cars area (below, left) has added new black-and-white artwork to the buildings (below, right). Click HERE for all of our past coverage of this exciting new resort dating back to it’s beginnings as Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years Resort.
Another wing has different scenes of a car with a pile of tires (below, left). We walked over the bridge (below, right), which still has the years listed from what would have been Pop Century Legendary Years (below, right).
The walkways have become much more pronounced (below, left). Crush from Finding Nemo was recently added (below, right), though he’s currently under wraps.
We look forward to seeing Crush when he is uncovered (below, left). The anemone (below, right) has been covered by trees, but Nemo and Marlin are part of that courtyard centerpiece.
The Lion King buildings are a bit further behind (below, left), but we expect to see color on them soon as well. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is due to open in May 2012. The Little Mermaid section (below, right) is set to debut later in 2012, as standard rooms (instead of value suites).

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is always beautiful for Christmas (below, left), with large swags of white garland hanging over the walkways (below, right).
A Happy Holidays sign sits in front of the foyer fountain (below, left), and two beautifully decorated Christmas trees stand nearby (below, right).
More garland (below, left) hangs in the main lobby. The floor is currently being worked on, and the tall tree that usually sits at the end will not be put up this year. The trees in the foyer are much smaller, but look nice with the domed ceiling overhead (below, right).
Friends of ours were at the Pepper Market (below, left), which is currently testing a breakfast and lunch buffet (below, right).
There are quite a few options for the lunch buffet, including salads (below, left) and paninis (below, right), along with enchiladas, pizza, chicken, desserts and more. We were very impressed with the choices.
The walkway from the Pepper Market is lined with Poinsettia plants and small Christmas trees (below, left). One of the two Christmas trees in the foyer is easily seen across from the fountain (below, right).
