Hi everyone! Today was the first day of the 2011 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! For the first time ever, Pixar is now part of the Festival (below, left). Woody and Buzz are at the main entrance (below, right) and should be joined soon by Lotso Huggin’ Bear.
Hi everyone! We made a stop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to see the progress on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which is set to open in summer of 2012 as Disney’s newest value resort offering (below, left). Originally slated to be the Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years, you can see that the years are still attached to the main building (below, right). Hi everyone! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom (below, left) is now in full swing, we attended the first two parties! There is a new welcome banner for this year (below, left). Cinderella Castle looked beautiful in all it’s sparkling glory (below, right).
Hi everyone! Disney debuted a new stage show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show” for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The first Party was mostly rained-out (many of the shows were canceled, as was the first parade) and I was finally able to see a complete version of Disney’s newest offering. The show includes singing and dancing (below left) as well as a cast of characters that feature crowd-pleasures such as Buzz Lightyear (below, right).
Hi everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Orlando, Florida! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicked off last night, albeit it was a wet one. Arriving at the park, the sign was up for the Party (below, left). The first “Cinderella’s Holiday Wish” Christmas Castle Lighting was beautiful as always! (below, right).

I had the special opportunity to see Buzz Aldrin at the Magic Kingdom, as well as witness the ticker tape for Buzz Lightyear (who just came back after being in space!) The sign (below, left) commemorates the day. Buzz Aldrin (below, right) was the first astronaut to come down the street. He did a book signing later that was very popular.
