Hi everyone! We spent December 23rd at Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – then we were back at the Fort again for Christmas Eve. We love it there! Pioneer Hall is festive with garland and wreaths (below left), and sleigh rides were just beginning as we arrived (below, right). I first stayed at the Fort Wilderness campground as a kid with my parents in 1971 and it’s always nice to make more memories there.
Hi everyone! We visited Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World to take photos of the Christmas decorations and displays, including this one of Mickey, Donald, Pluto and Goofy (below, left). The freeze protective coverings on the plants look like snow! (below, right)
Hi everyone! I wanted to share some screen captures from my DVD “Disneyland Parade Classics” of the 1985 Very Merry Christmas Parade. This is unlike any parade you’ll see today! The beginning of this procession features characters and floats from classic films such as Alice in Wonderland, with teapots (below, left) and the playing cards (below, right).
Hi everyone! The Magic Kingdom Christmas tree is now up in Town Square! We entered the park this afternoon (below, left and right), with our first glimpse of the tree being outside the train station. The Magic Kingdom decorations are now complete for 2010! It was a beautiful but chilly day for Florida as some of the flowers around the resort have been covered to protect them from the overnight cold (not shown).
Hi everyone! It was a beautiful day on Saturday for the last day of the Disney Parks Christmas Parade taping. Cinderella Castle looked beautiful (below, left). We didn’t show up until 11:30 in the morning, and had missed several of the acts – but what we saw was just enough this year. Cast member Billy Flanagan (below, right) was back to entertain guests in between takes.
