Hi everyone! We spent a full day yesterday at Epcot for opening day of this years Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. The sky was beautiful for much of the day – turning a little grey as the day progressed. The mushrooms from Fantasia (below, left) are outside of the park, which is unusual for Festival topiaries. Sorcerer Mickey cuts a grand figure as he stands atop the entrance display with smoke billowing (below, right).

I wanted to share some screen captures from my DVD “Disneyland Parade Classics” of the 1985 Very Merry Christmas Parade. This is unlike any parade you’ll see today! The beginning of this procession features characters and floats from classic films such as Alice in Wonderland, with teapots (below, left) and the playing cards (below, right).
Hi everyone! Today was the first official day of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, and Disney did a great job! We have some possible frost coming in the next couple of days, so hopefully the topiaries and flowers hold up well. Donald, Goofy and Daisy enjoy the great outdoors (below, left) as Pluto looks over the “Welcome to the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, Celebrate the Great Outdoors” sign. Hi everyone! Epcot is looking great for the start of tomorrow’s Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! A totally new topiary display has been put up to promote the upcoming film “Oceans” (below left and right), with the beautiful backdrop of Spaceship Earth.

We stopped by Epcot yesterday and were surprised to see so many Epcot Flower and Garden Festival topiaries out! Simba (below, left) is part of a Lion King display that also includes Rafiki and Nala (below, right). There isn’t much new this year, nearly everything has just been shuffled around.
Hi everyone! The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is taking shape, even with all the very cold weather we’ve had recently. The area where the Nautical Flag quilt sits is showing the formation of starfish, dolphins and Mickey. Perhaps the theme will be from the upcoming DisneyNature film Oceans? (below left and right).

The former Wonders of Life Pavilion (Above, left) becomes Garden Town for the festival. The Flowered Quilt display (Above, right) continues to grow in nicely.
