It’s really “Not-So-Scary” as you enter the Magic Kingdom for your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party night! After donning your Party wristband, it’s time to pick up a map and treat bag. Once inside the park, you stop for a Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card commemorating Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular (it’s included!) and your first treats in the bypass behind Main Street. You also take a look at the exclusive decorations and photo opportunities here. Your first meet and greet is with the immensely popular Jack and Sally in Liberty Square. Headless Horseman
“Beware, the Headless Horseman is here!” proclaims the announcer as the famed rider from Sleepy Hollow emerges from the darkness holding an illuminated jack-o-lantern in his gloved hand. This ride is shown from several angles.
Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade
The Zootopia Party Patrol precedes Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps entertaining the crowd. Soon, the first characters for the parade – including Alice, Mad Hatter and Dopey – arrive with Halloween masks in hand before Mickey in his new costume proclaims, “Happy Halloween everybody!” Returning favorites include the grave diggers, ballroom dancers and a multitude of Disney characters. New for 2019 are Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy wearing new Halloween costumes; the Haunted Mansion bride; and a Tomorrowland section that includes the Incredibles, Edna Mode and Buzz Lightyear.
Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular Halloween Fireworks
Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular is a new fireworks show for 2019! Hosted by a large Jack Skellington puppet, this vibrant spectacular features projection mapping, fireworks and Disney characters including Mickey and Minnie projected on the castle. You will enjoy it from the first row with a great view of the projections and fireworks.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
The Sanderson Sisters return to the mortal world for one mischievous Halloween night. This vibrant show includes Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, Lady Tremaine and other villains bringing gifts for the special Party potion! Shot from front row center.
Trick or Treating / Haunted Exit Scenes
End your night with trick or treating and a look around the park. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor has a new treat trail this year. Projections liven up the entrance to Tomorrowland! You end the night on Main Street U.S.A., taking in all the Halloween decorations and gorgeous lighting that comes with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin, Jasmine, and other favorites can be found hiding behind their Halloween masks. Wendy is tied up on the pirate ship, while Peter Pan is ready to battle Captain Hook! Celebrate The Magic Villains Segment
Added only for the Halloween season, this villains segment of the Celebrate the Magic projection show offers some of Disney’s most dastardly villains, with Chernabog heralding in the the likes of Ursula and Maleficent, the Mistress of all Evil herself. Maleficent first appears in human form before her dragon likeness conjures up flames on Cinderella Castle.

We have spent a lot of time at Disney resorts this week! We were invited to a Super Bowl get-together at a friend’s Treehouse Villa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs resort (below, left). While he’s a DVC member and used his points, the Treehouses can also be reserved by non-DVC guests if available. There is a dedicated pool for the Treehouses (below, right), which is small but includes a jacuzzi as well. We like the frog decorations!

Yesterday we were finally back in the Storybook Circus part of new Fantasyland (below, left) to check out the new Pete’s Silly Sideshow tent (below, right). With all the activities at Epcot over the past couple of weeks, it’s left us little time for the Magic Kingdom. Pete’s Silly Sideshow is the final attraction at open in Storybook Circus and we were told that the area in now considered complete (with the exception of a few finishing tweaks)
We spent yesterday at Discovery Cove with a Platinum Passholder special of just $59, then headed straight over to the Magic Kingdom to see “Cinderella’s Holiday Wish” which ends with the Christmas Castle Lighting – the first of the year (below, left). Goofy, Donald, Minnie and Mickey join the fun as Cinderella decides her wish (below, right).
