We were happy to be able to dine at Be Our Guest Restaurant (below, left) just a few nights back! It was during a Cast Member preview of New Fantasyland, but they allowed us to come in and enjoy dinner. The ballroom is huge and beautiful, we especially love the falling snow in the windows (below, right). We requested the West Wing, which is where we dined.
We spent December 23rd at Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – then we were back at the Fort again for Christmas Eve. We love it there! Pioneer Hall is festive with garland and wreaths (below left), and sleigh rides were just beginning as we arrived (below, right). I first stayed at the Fort Wilderness campground as a kid with my parents in 1971 and it’s always nice to make more memories there.
Walt Disney World celebrated Halloween across property starting on October 30th at Downtown Disney (a sign is shown below, left) and continuing into October 31st. Trick or Treating was available both days at Downtown Disney, as well as entertainment and stilt walkers dressed in Halloween costumes (below, right).
Today we have another update from Walt Disney World beginning with Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain has a new sign when you enter the attraction on the PeopleMover, which coincides with the new colors on the sign up front (below, left). A Space Mountain car climbs the track for testing (below, right).
Construction is progressing at the Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villas at Walt Disney World! Here is some new video contributed by site partner Mousesteps.com.
Mousesteps also has some photos of around Fort WildernessCampground on the new site update!
Polynesian Resort Article and Vintage photos:
Also today, my friend Jim Hill did a story about the Polynesian Resort featuring some of my vintage photos. I have always loved the Poly and have so many wonderful childhood memories of staying there!
Below I am seen enjoying the themed volcano slide and a rare view of the original pool during a rehab.
