Halloween at Walt Disney World Resorts and Downtown Disney – Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

Walt Disney World celebrated Halloween across property starting on October 30th at Downtown Disney (a sign is shown below, left) and continuing into October 31st. Trick or Treating was available both days at Downtown Disney, as well as entertainment and stilt walkers dressed in Halloween costumes (below, right).

Storytelling was part of the entertainment (below, left) and Cirque Du Soleil was the first of 20 Trick-or-Treat stops (below, right).

The Waterfront Stage Dance Party took on a ghostly tone (below, left) and a Dixieland band entertained audiences in front of Fultons Crab House (below, right).

At Fort Wilderness, campers continued to enthrall visitors to their sites with incredible displays. The campground prize-winning site was well deserved (below left) and included a skull with Mouse ears (below, right).

Much of the winning display can be seen (below, left) and a first place ribbon was bestowed on the site (below, right). There was so much detail, and it took 6 people a full day to put it up!

Other resorts were also festooned with Halloween decorations, and many resorts had carved pumpkin contests – cast member departments would carve and/or decorate a pumpkin, and guests would vote on their favorites. The Wilderness Lodge pumpkin display included a Michael Jackson carving, as well as Ariel (below, left) and the Boardwalk’s Kat Kora’s Kouzzina restaurant employees carved a Mickey Mouse pumpkin as well as a cat with whiskers (below, right).

The best of any displays we found were at the Boardwalk. One was of Beauty and the BeastChip and Mrs. Potts are both pumpkins (below, left) and one other pumpkin was painted with various Disney characters including Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. It was really incredible! (below, right).

The Boardwalk Resort also hosted a wonderful party with characters and Trick-or-Treating. Donald greets guests (below, left) and children were able to go to different tables to create a variety of crafts (below, right).
