This is a very colorful and photogenic parade, especially with the Cinderella Castle as a backdrop!
It is really fun to get out into the street and interact with the dancers and characters. I recorded this 5 times during my visit and wish I had a chance to get into the street and enjoy it fully! I plan to do just that on my next trip.
It is also great to see more obscure park characters, like Sebastianthe Crab and the Mad Hatter! Currently “Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party!” happens at 11:00, 12:30 & 5:45pm.
I have recently released Volume 1 in a series of Walt Disney World Parade DVDs. The first volume is called Magic Kingdom Parade Classics (if you enjoyed past parades like “Mickey Mania” and the “Remember the Magic Parade”, then check below for more details or to order!)
Here are some more photos from around Walt Disney World, taken by Denise at Mousesteps! She is still experiencing site update problems and wanted to get these great timely shots posted. Below are her photos and words:

Jeff Lange takes you back in time to experience this first in a series of DVDs featuring vintage parades from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!
Surprise Celebration Parade (1991)
Stilt walkers and acrobats accompany a variety of floats in this Mardi Gras influenced procession, celebrating the Magic Kingdom’s 20th Anniversary! Marvel as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Roger Rabbit appear as gigantic cold air balloons towering nearly 40 feet above Main Street USA. The parade was shot from multiple camera angles so you don’t miss any of the action!
Mickey Mania Parade (1994)
More than 100 performers dressed in Mickey Mouse inspired costumes and 28 Disney characters join floats and balloons in this lively parade! There are six major themes to the parade, designed to showcase Mickey as seen in merchandise, movies and theme parks from all over the world. These themes are: Mickey in Music, Time, Motion, Toys, Balloons, and Images over the Years.
Remember The Magic Parade (1996)
This beloved parade celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, and was shot in a location that allows you to enjoy three special parade stops! Six unique floats are flanked by characters and dancers: “Remember the Magic” Theme Float, “The Little Mermaid”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Aladdin’s Treasure”, “The Lion King” and “The Enchanted Forest” (featuring the first Walt Disney World parade to shoot fireworks from a float).
Share A Dream Come True Parade (2001)
In celebration of Walt Disney’s 100th Birthday, this parade featured giant snow globe floats and included an interactive performance parade stop! The floats feature the following themes: “It Was All Started By A Mouse” (Mickey Mouse), “Wish Upon A Star” (Pinocchio), “A Thousand Dreams To See” (Aladdin), “Face The Darkest Fears” (Disney Villians), “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” (Prince and Princess) and “As Long as There is Imagination Left in the World” (assorted characters)!
Relive these special Disney parade memories year after year or experience the magic for the first time by purchasing a copy of “Jeff Lange’s Magic Kingdom Parade Classics”.

You can see the Space Mountain painting very well in the photo below:
It all started last week when a good friend of mine asked me the following question: “Jeff, did you ever hear of elephants performing at Epcot Center? A friend of mine told me about it, but I don’t remember anything like that in over 30 years of visiting Walt Disney World and couldn’t imagine it was true”. I instantly knew they were thinking of “Epcot Center’s Daredevil Circus Spectacular“. Keep reading after the photos for a full description of this amazing part of Epcot Center history!

(Below) The entrance topiary featuring the parade of Pachyderms.
(Below left) A parade of Elephant-like “Martian Mastodons” approach the fountain stage. (below right) A live band plays along as the Elephants and acrobats perform “spine-tingling” acts.
(Below left) Communicore is transformed into a “Spacearena” as a double-trapeze act is performed. (Below right) The most amazing part of all this to me was the “Space Cycles” riding along wires connected from both Communicores to the center of Spaceship Earth!
(Below) It was the most incredible thing to see motorcycles driving high in the air on thin-looking wires. I remember thinking that they actually touched Spaceship Earth (although they probably did not).
(Below) My last photo showing both “Space Cycles” (with girls hanging below them) speeding high above Future World towards Spaceship Earth!
Walt Disney World’s 15th Anniversary Celebration:
Back in the fall of 1996, Walt Disney World was beginning it’s 15th Anniversary Celebration and held a big kickoff press event. The press kit (below left) touted all the special events planned for the upcoming year including: The Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution featuring The Magic Kingdom’s “Star-Spangled Salute” and “All American Parade“, the 15th Anniversary Gift-Giver (where you could win a new Chevrolet on “Birthday Bonanza Weekends“) and more!
I found the most intriguing event the celebration promised to be “Epcot Center’s Daredevil Circus Spectacular“. To fully understand why it captured my imagination, please read the excerpt from the press release below. It sounded unbelievable to me that this was actually going to happen!
It is still incredible that this actually happened and I am glad to have found the photos and information to remember this amazing part of Epcot Center history!

Site Partner Mousesteps website is having some issues right now (it’s up and running, but no updates are currently able to be added). Denise went to take photos of the DVC Contemporary Resort Bay Lake Tower and 4th floor construction in the main building after taking new video of the parade at the Magic Kingdom. Below are her photos and words:

Mousesteps Denise shares photos and video from the first “Celebrate a Dream Come True” parade at the Magic Kingdom! She enjoyed the catchy new music and thought it was one of the better recent parades – the best since the“25th Anniversary Remember The Magic“Parade!

There are parade stops, but she didn’t see any during the video she took – and the parade went by very quickly (in about 11 minutes). She dashed down to Main Street to take photos near City Hall, and was able to videotape one parade stop with Mickey and Minnie. She will be putting photos on her site soon (once it’s fixed, she’s not been able to add new blog posts for a couple of days now).
Please check back tomorrow for a complete video of this great new Magic Kingdom Parade!
UPDATE: Part 1 of the parade is below.
