It was a dark and rainy afternoon, but the updated “Celebrate a Dream Come True” parade still was able to continue in an abbreviated form. Roy O Disney and Minnie Mouse (below, left) sit in front of a fierce looking cloud. The parade (below, right), was in “rain parade” mode, meaning that fewer floats were present and some characters walked ahead of the parade.
Walt Disney World rolled out the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade without the Villains Float, but with many more characters interacting with guests. Characters like Geppetto also are in the street and not on the float.
Pluto waves to the crowd (below, left). Geppetto now walks through the street, shaking hands with guests (below, right).
Jeff Lange takes you back in time to experience this second in a series of DVDs featuring classic parades from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!
Disney Dreams Come True Parade (2008)
Mickey Mouse leads a procession of Disney characters in this Magic Kingdom parade highlighting favorite Disney moments! Recollecting the early days of Disney cartoons and rejoicing in present day Disney animation, each float celebrates the inspiration of dreaming. Delight in the winsome “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and the wonders of “Pinocchio”. Relive the adventure of flight in “Mary Poppins”, “Dumbo” and “Aladdin.” Not to be outdone, Disney villains Jafar, Maleficent and Chernabog add some spice to the mix. The finale is a shimmering castle featuring classic Disney characters!
Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade (2009)
Kicking off Disney’s newest promotion, this parade invites you to “Celebrate You”! Mickey and Minnie lead the character procession on a festive, brightly colored “Celebrate Today” float that is decorated with large horns and confetti. Dancers perform in vibrant outfits that are reminiscent of colorful candles on a cake. Parade stops allow the dancers to deliver the celebratory message to the audience, while characters including Pinocchio, Gepetto, Pluto and Goofy sing and dance along on their floats.
Move it! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party (2009)
This jubilant party takes you into the street to dance and conga with a host of Disney characters, stilt walkers and performers! Four special gifts open to surprise and delight you. Don’t just stand on the sidelines, join other Disney guests as they party along with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and more! The music and atmosphere bring pure enjoyment in this parade that is destined to become a Disney classic.
BONUS: SpectroMagic! Nighttime Parade (2006)
Over a half-million lights shimmer and dance in this long-running Disney favorite! Mickey Mouse cuts a grand figure in a lighted magicians cape, directing the symphony of lights, color and sound that bring this brilliant parade to life. You will enjoy characters from classic movies that include “The Little Mermaid”, “Fantasia” and “Aladdin”. The finale highlights the real star of this show – the lights, which in a Disney parade first, change from white to brilliant color with a flick of a paint brush!
Relive these special Disney parade memories year after year or experience the magic for the first time by purchasing a copy of “Jeff Lange’s Magic Kingdom Parade Classics 2”.

Production Update:
With all the recent discussion about the new “Celebrate A Dream Come True” parade, I have decided that my next DVD release will feature vintage Magic Kingdom parades! It will include the following:

I have enjoyed reliving these great parades again and can’t stop humming the “Mickey Mania” and “It’s Time to Remember the Magic” theme music! I hope to have this finished by the end of next week.

There are parade stops, but she didn’t see any during the video she took – and the parade went by very quickly (in about 11 minutes). She dashed down to Main Street to take photos near City Hall, and was able to videotape one parade stop with Mickey and Minnie. She will be putting photos on her site soon (once it’s fixed, she’s not been able to add new blog posts for a couple of days now).
Please check back tomorrow for a complete video of this great new Magic Kingdom Parade!
