Hi everyone! Yesterday we enjoyed celebrating Walt Disney World’s 40th Anniversary at the Magic Kingdom! There was a “40 Magical Years” banner welcoming us as we entered through the security gates (below, right), and one hanging from Cinderella Castle – in this picture, behind the Partners statue featuring Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse (below, right). This is a very colorful and photogenic parade, especially with the Cinderella Castle as a backdrop!
It is really fun to get out into the street and interact with the dancers and characters. I recorded this 5 times during my visit and wish I had a chance to get into the street and enjoy it fully! I plan to do just that on my next trip.
It is also great to see more obscure park characters, like Sebastian the Crab and the Mad Hatter! Currently “Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party!” happens at 11:00, 12:30 & 5:45pm.
