Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is bursting with color (below, left), with fish and coral popping in 3D from the sides of the Finding Nemo buildings (below, right). It’s been over a month since we last stopped by the resort, and it was pretty exciting to see all the changes! We went to Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to take photos and video of the continuing progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). The resort’s sections are themed after The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The Little Mermaid area is the only one that will have standard rooms as opposed to suites, utilizing the former buildings that were built originally for Pop Century’s never-built “The Legendary Years”.

Today we have a major resort update, spanning the new refillable mug test (below, left) at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort to the construction progress at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Currently, the refillable mugs at Disney’s All Star Sports (below, right) have RFID chips in them – as do the standard cups – limiting the amount of soda you can pour at any given time.

We visited a number of restaurants (both to eat and to take pictures) during our 2 night Christening cruise on the Disney Dream. On the morning we docked at Castaway Cay, we stopped in to take photos of Remy and Palo. Remy is the most upscale dining experience that the Disney Cruise Line has ever offered. When walking upstairs to the restaurant, you see Ratatouille inspired artwork (below, left). The Remy sign is (below, right).

We were at Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) yesterday to see family, and spent an extra couple of hours taking photos and video of the upcoming Art of Animation Resort (formerly it would have been Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years, but it was never completed). We went to the 4th floor of a number of buildings to get photos and video of the construction (below, right).
