Hi everyone! Today was a gorgeous day at Walt Disney World! We went to Epcot to see if Mater was there (we had heard he was), and we found not only Mater, but a new sand sculpture to share with our readers. Then we headed over to the Magic Kingdom, where we found the Easter Bunny and Mrs Bunny (more on that below)! Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) yesterday to take some photos and video of the progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). It’s pretty amazing to see the difference from just a couple of weeks ago! To learn more about what this new resort will feature, we have more information and concept art HERE. Hi everyone! We visited Epcot yesterday to participate in one of their hands-on seminars that are now held daily through the end of the Flower and Garden Festival. On the way in, we finally saw Lotso Huggin’ Bear, who was absent at the beginning of the Festival (below left and right, with the Tronorail in the background).
Hi everyone! Today was the first day of the 2011 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! For the first time ever, Pixar is now part of the Festival (below, left). Woody and Buzz are at the main entrance (below, right) and should be joined soon by Lotso Huggin’ Bear.
Hi everyone! A quick Magic Kingdom update from this mornings visit. New crypts have been added to the Haunted Mansion interactive queue that is being built (below left and right), they are visible only from the Mark Twain and look amazing! The queue will be longer and zig-zag past these new elements before entering the Mansion.
Hi everyone! We spent the day at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom yesterday, but the highlight for me was seeing the new changes in the Haunted Mansion! New projections have replaced the audio-animatronics and older projections, but we were told this is temporary/transitional (below, left and right). So we’ll see if anything else happens, I definitely would like to see them keep the ghost that sits with you in the Doom Buggy!
Hi everyone! We made a stop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to see the progress on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which is set to open in summer of 2012 as Disney’s newest value resort offering (below, left). Originally slated to be the Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years, you can see that the years are still attached to the main building (below, right). |
