Hi everyone! We’ve been spending a lot of time around property, checking out the resorts and parks for Christmas (we are trying to get to 8 or so resorts tomorrow!) The Swan and Dolphin (below, left) really did a great job of decking the halls this year – more than ever. The Walt Disney World Swan Resort has an incredible chocolate Santa display (below, right) that is 3 million calories!
Hi everyone! Brrrr….it may not be as cold as some areas of the country, but Orlando area temperatures have reached freezing levels! Topiaries and plants around property have been covered up due to the cold. In the front of Epcot (below, left), the trees are sitting in a blanket of white coverings. The Pluto topiary is wrapped in a brightly colored covering (below, right).
Hi everyone! We visited Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World to take photos of the Christmas decorations and displays, including this one of Mickey, Donald, Pluto and Goofy (below, left). The freeze protective coverings on the plants look like snow! (below, right)
Hi everyone! Denise from Mousesteps.com stopped by Disney’s Pop Century yesterday to take some photos of the Art of Animation Resort construction across the way. You can see that the former Legendary Years numbers are still in place (below left and right). I wanted to share some screen captures from my DVD “Disneyland Parade Classics” of the 1985 Very Merry Christmas Parade. This is unlike any parade you’ll see today! The beginning of this procession features characters and floats from classic films such as Alice in Wonderland, with teapots (below, left) and the playing cards (below, right).
Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Beach Club (below, left), Yacht Club and Boardwalk Resorts to take photos of their holiday displays and decorations. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts had a major convention going on, so we’ll go back there soon (there is a very nice display in the Swan!) The Beach Club Resort has a beautiful carousel (below, left), which is surrounded by several other displays.
Hi everyone! It was a beautiful day on Saturday for the last day of the Disney Parks Christmas Parade taping. Cinderella Castle looked beautiful (below, left). We didn’t show up until 11:30 in the morning, and had missed several of the acts – but what we saw was just enough this year. Cast member Billy Flanagan (below, right) was back to entertain guests in between takes.
