Hi everyone! Many changes have been happening at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, as the construction progresses. We walked down the bridge at the Pop Century Resort (below, left), which allowed a great view of the Finding Nemo courtyard (below, right).  Whats Happening  Disney's Art of Animation Resort Construction, Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years Resort, Enchanted Grove, Fantasyland Former Skyway, Finding Nemo, Liberty Square, Lion King, Magic Kingdom, Main Street Cinema, Peter Pan's Flight interactive queue, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, The Little Mermaid, Walt Disney World Hi everyone! President Obama paid a visit to the Magic Kingdom yesterday to give a short speech on tourism. Main Street U.S.A. was walled off from park guests until a little after 2pm (below, left). While some areas were not open to the public, Disney pulled a terrific backstage experience out of it’s hat! Parade floats and Main Street vehicles lined the backstage walkway from Main Street to Tomorrowland, including these fish from Spectromagic (below, right).

Yesterday was a busy one at the Magic Kingdom. The Mickey Christmas ornament is now replaced with a more traditional Mickey at the front of the park (below, left). Scrims are up around Main Street U.S.A. (below, right), as the end of the holiday season always seems to lead to a few months of extensive rehabs.

The interactive game, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom (below, left) was play testing on Sunday at the Magic Kingdom. We had just finished up breakfast at Boma with friends when we found out that the testing had just started. We were handed a map (below, left) and 5 spell cards – there are 70 in all – and told to go to Fantasyland to start our adventure.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, and we stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort to take a look at the newest progress on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, left). A Radiator Springs sign/icon is being worked on, with a pile of tires as part of it (below, right).
Hi everyone! We enjoyed a picture-perfect day at the Magic Kingdom, though the temperatures never rose above 50 degrees. Mickey and Minnie Mouse were still dressed in their Christmas finest (below, left) and decorations were still up around the park. Dumbo the Flying Elephant was testing in Storybook Circus (below, right). The current Dumbo that will be part of the twin Dumbos will close on January 9th and is set to open again on February 18th!
Hi everyone! We enjoyed not only one, nor two, but four fireworks displays in the past two days! The first was Illuminations: Reflections of Earth and the Holiday Tag after seeing the last Candlelight Processional for the season. The second was the Magic Kingdom New Years Eve fireworks on December 30th (below, left), as seen from Disney’s Polynesian Resort (below, right).
