Yesterday was a busy one at the Magic Kingdom. The Mickey Christmas ornament is now replaced with a more traditional Mickey at the front of the park (below, left). Scrims are up around Main Street U.S.A. (below, right), as the end of the holiday season always seems to lead to a few months of extensive rehabs.
The Main Street Bakery (below, left) is still open, but has a scrim around it. There is also work being done on both sides of the Main Street bridge (below, right).
Dumbo the Flying Elephant has been getting ready for it’s move to Storybook Circus, which has now been pushed back to mid-March (below left and right). The original date was around February 17th for it to reopen again.

Video #1 – Dumbo the Flying Elephant Removal Plus New Dumbo Testing 1/10/12 Magic Kingdom – The original Dumbo The Flying Elephant is now behind a construction wall for removal. The new Dumbo (counter clockwise side) is also testing with most elephants attached.
The large sign for the Seven Dwarfs Mine shop is now gone (below, left), although the smaller one was still up (below, right). Very little merchandise remained in the shop – all of the apparel was gone.

Bonjour Village Gifts (below, left) and Gaston’s Tavern (below, right) are both still having roof work done.
We were able to capture some details of the Little Mermaid ride building (below, left). You can see rock work (below, right) along with design that looks similar to the tentacles of an octapus (below, right).

A look at the Fantasyland former Skyway station area construction wall (below left and right). This will eventually be the new path to Liberty Square to make room for the upcoming Peter Pan’s Flight interactive queue.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is now closed for a 5 month rehab (below, left). A pin trading display (below, right) has been added to the area. We don’t know how often it’s there, but it was during both of our visits.
We took some photos and video of Big Thunder Mountain from the train. There were quite a few workers, as well as work lights. This is the exterior and a drained Tumbleweed with some animatronics removed as seen from the Railroad. (below, left and right).

Pecos Bill’s restaurant is behind a scrim now as well (below, left). We also stopped by one of the Portals not yet used in the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game (below, right). This one is at the Sunshine Tree Terrace.
Merlin greets us during our second day playing Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom (below, left), and Malificent is one of the villains in Fantasyland (below, right). Video #5 – Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Medium Difficulty Complete Fantasyland Maleficent – We play tested Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom a second time yesterday. This time we were offered the option to play medium difficulty with the ability to lose a battle (the video shows an example of this). This is the complete Fantasyland battle versus Maleficent. We also have complete segments from Liberty Square / Frontierland and Adventureland!
