We stopped by Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot yesterday, and you can see a lot is going on! One Man’s Dream (below, left) is now under a several month refurb, and Toy Story Midway Mania is down until August 29th (below, right).

Hi everyone! I’ve already shown some of the highlights from the first two days of Star Wars Celebration V, here are some from the rest of the convention! Anthony Daniels (below left and right) was one of the special guests for the weekend with host Jay Laga’aia. He is always very entertaining.
Hi everyone! We had a great time at the Last Tour To Endor (below, left) on Saturday night, we were happy we decided to go after going back and forth over it since the event was announced. One of the highlights of the evening was the show “Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of Epic Proportions“, which was a combination of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. It was billed as a fan film – two fans, one who loves Star Wars and the other Indiana Jones, get together to create a film that combines both!
Hi everyone! I’ve been having a great time at Star Wars Celebration V! We’ve not had a lot of time to do an update, the schedule is jam packed and we’ve wanted to see (and photograph) everything we can. The convention center (below, left) has banners that announce the big event! The Death Star (below, right) hovers over the guests arriving into the building.

It was a dark and rainy afternoon, but the updated “Celebrate a Dream Come True” parade still was able to continue in an abbreviated form. Roy O Disney and Minnie Mouse (below, left) sit in front of a fierce looking cloud. The parade (below, right), was in “rain parade” mode, meaning that fewer floats were present and some characters walked ahead of the parade.
Hi everyone! We’ve spent a few hours this week at the Magic Kingdom, I stopped by yesterday as well to get some photos. Cinderella Castle (below, left) looked magnificent with the clouds behind it. Casey’s Corner (below, right) is still undergoing exterior work.
Hi everyone! We went to the Via Napoli Ristorante grand opening ceremony at Epcot yesterday, which included Italy streetmosphere characters stomping on grapes (below, left) as well as Mickey and Minnie making their entrance in a horse-drawn carriage (below, right). This wasn’t our first visit to Via Napoli, we have photos and a review from the first day it was open – but now Via Napoli is officially open for guests (and you can make reservations!) |
