Jeff Lange presents this all-new DVD from the 2009 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World! Not So Scary Entrance Scenes Grab your trick-or-treat bag and enter into the most awaited Party of the year! Visions of pumpkins and ghosts will delight you as the fog rolls over the Magic Kingdom train station. Alice & Mad Hatters Treat Party Step into Mickey’s Toontown Fair, where you’ll pay a visit to Mickey Mouse decked out in his resplendent Halloween finery. Satisfy your sweet tooth along the Alice-in-Wonderland themed Treat Trail that offers several chances to gather candy while admiring the Tomorrowland landscape. You’ll even see Alice along the way! Headless Horseman Hooves slap against the pavement as you await the arrival of the Horseman from Sleepy Hollow. Sparks shoot from the ground as the horse gallops by, with it’s famed rider holding an illuminated Jack-O-Lantern in his gloved hand. This video footage is taken from three different angles! Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade “I see you got my invitation!” exclaims Mickey Mouse as he welcomes you to this festive procession. Your favorite characters will enchant and delight, and a new eerie float featuring the Haunted Mansion tombstones follows the crowd-pleasing grave diggers precision drill team. You’ll enjoy this unique parade for years to come! Happy HalloWishes Fireworks Take a dash of “Grim Grinning Ghosts”, along with a fun mix of “Scary-Oke” and you’ve got an incredible musical backdrop to the most eagerly anticipated fireworks show of 2009! Villains Mix and Mingle High-energy dance sequences, catchy musical tunes and Villains including Cruella De Vil and Captain Hook highlight this castle forecourt show that culminates in an explosive finale!. Haunted Mansion at Midnight This “ghostly retreat” never feels quite as spooky as it does during the midnight hour. Fog and lights create a foreboding atmosphere that bids you to come inside. All 999 Happy Haunts are awaiting your presence – Your Not-So-Scary night closes with a stroll down a nearly-empty Main Street, gazing at Halloween inspired displays in the Emporium windows. Brightly colored lights guide your way to a final goodbye, with “See Ya Real Soon!” bidding you farewell in lit pumpkins. I just returned from the incredible D23 Expo (photos and video to come in the upcoming week), and had a great time at Disneyland too. On the last day I was there, even more Halloween decorations came out in the form of banners hanging from the buildings (below left and right).
Jeff Lange takes you back in time to experience this second in a series of DVDs featuring vintage parades from the “Happiest Place on Earth”, Disneyland! Aladdin’s Royal Caravan (1993) As Aladdin’s Royal Caravan approaches Disneyland’s Main Street USA, you’ll be magically transported to Agrabah! This critically acclaimed parade features a 32-foot tall Genie, as well as the grand entrance of Prince Ali, spitting camels, and the piece de resistance is Aladdin and Jasmine on top of Abu in the form of a giant elephant! The Lion King Celebration (1994) Performers dressed as monkeys swing from trees in this African-themed procession based on the blockbuster hit from 1994! Giraffes with articulated necks, an elephant squirting water, and an incredible float that features thunder leading into a full rainfall helps make this one of the most beloved Disneyland parades of all time. Zazu’s appearance signifies the first time an audio-animatronic figure is used in a Disney parade. Dancers in tribal outfits and beloved Lion King characters including Simba and Timon join together in this joyous event. Hercules’ Victory Parade (1998) With the Disneyland Astro Orbiter as a backdrop, marvel as a giant float featuring a lightning-bolt clutching Zeus helps lead this lively spectacle! Dozens of dancers in brightly colored outfits inspired by the 1997 film entertain the crowd, along with movie favorites such as Phil and Zeus. Hades attempts to bring the mood down with his sidekicks Pain and Panic before “Zero to Hero” Hercules saves the day, flanked by the beautiful Megara. Mulan Parade (1998) This charming nighttime version of the Mulan parade features dancing pagodas, a giant inflatable Shan Yu tied to a bed of skulls, and Mushu as an extended-length dragon with his body symbolizing the Great Wall of China! Led by the Matchmaker towering high above the crowd, the pageantry is energized by sword-wielding huns and acrobatic performances. The parade concludes with a larger-than-life Emperor waving to the crowd! Relive these special Disneyland parade memories year after year or experience the magic for the first time by purchasing a copy of “Jeff Lange’s Disneyland Parade Classics 2”.
