Disney debuted a new stage show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show” for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The first Party was mostly rained-out (many of the shows were canceled, as was the first parade) and I was finally able to see a complete version of Disney’s newest offering. The show includes singing and dancing (below left) as well as a cast of characters that feature crowd-pleasures such as Buzz Lightyear (below, right).
The Magic Kingdom is almost fully decked-out for Christmas (Toontown was not dressed yet). The garland is up on Main Street USA (below, left) and Candy Cane Garden (next to City Hall) is where Santa will be listening to the wish lists of children visiting the park!
Christmas has started to appear at the Magic Kingdom, though it’s not yet fully decorated yet. Poinsettia trees flank the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party sign (below, left) and a Nutcracker stands guard in front of the train station (below, right).
Monorail Teal is now transporting guests at Walt Disney World! Monorail Teal is a combination of monorails Pink and Purple, which were involved in the monorail accident a few months back. Today the monorail was on the express beam between the Ticket and Transportation Center and the Magic Kingdom (below left and right).
Last week I presented some photos of the last glimpse of Christmas at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Below are some updated photos of the same views after the post-Christmas changeover.
The classic Mickey Mouse floral display has returned to the train station (above left) and Main Street USA has said goodbye to the Christmas tree and garland for another year (Below).
I personally love the holidays at Walt Disney World and am always a little sad to see it end, but at least it seems to get bigger and better every year. Here’s looking forward to the holidays at Walt Disney World in 2009!

Even though Christmas at Walt Disney World officially ended yesterday (January 4th) there was still a last glimpse this afternoon at the Magic Kingdom!
Site partner MouseSteps presents these shots of a still very festive Magic Kingdom! Holiday music plays, garland still hangs and the Christmas tree remains!
The resorts seemed to have all the decorations removed already. My guess is that this will all be removed by tomorrow as something has to come down last. I hope you enjoyed the extra day of Christmas! Click HERE for photos of the upcoming Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, the Contemporary Resort Villas and the Magic Kingdom!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are recovering nicely. Today I present some “after-Christmas” gingerbread from around the Walt Disney World resort! Donald and Daisy Duck are residing at the Boardwalk Resort. The carousel below is from the Beach Club, Tinkerbell sits atop of it! You will find her below.
On the lower right, one of the employee-led gingerbread houses inside the Polynesian Resort. Instead of just one gingerbread display, they have many. Some are done by chefs, but others are a team effort from a variety of areas at the resort.
Below on the left is the main gingerbread display in the lobby. All others are on the 2nd floor, including the Tiki bar which is one of two that are at the sushi bar. The Polynesian has some wonderful displays, including one of an air hangar with moving propellers!
