Hi everyone! We went to the Magic Kingdom today to check out the new Beast’s Castle that went up this weekend (below, left). It’s amazing to see it rising from behind the wall! I especially enjoyed watching as a turret was lifted from below the castle to it’s proper place on the castle (below, right). Our video below shows that! Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) yesterday to take some photos and video of the progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). It’s pretty amazing to see the difference from just a couple of weeks ago! To learn more about what this new resort will feature, we have more information and concept art HERE. Hi everyone! We paid a visit to the Haunted Mansion today (below, left) as soon as we heard that the new Hitchhiking Ghosts mirror effect was working! Walking through the queue to check out the new tombstone that had been added about a week ago, we were also pointed to another new addition. In reference to the “Bride’s Ring” that used to be in the pavement near the front of the queue (not really the Bride’s Ring, but everyone liked to say it), there is now really a ring – engagement ring – in the pavement of the interactive queue.
We went to the Magic Kingdom in hopes of getting into the soft-opening today of the new Backstage Magic with Mickey Mouse meet and greet – and it was open all day! The newly renamed Town Square Theater (formerly Exposition Hall) is the setting for this new attraction (below, left) that also includes a meet-and-greet with the Disney Princesses. The lobby is beautiful with tile that includes “1901“, the birth year of Walt Disney (below, right).

Yesterday we returned to the Magic Kingdom in part to see the Haunted Mansion (below, left) which has it’s Audio-Animatronic Hitchhiking Ghosts back at the end of the ride (below, right). Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to take a look at the Disney’s Art of Animation construction (below, left). It’s changed a lot since we were last there, with many guest buildings in the process of being built! Also, the years that were part of the Legendary Years resort (which never was completed) are now stripped from the main hall building (below, right). You can still see the outline of the numbers that were removed. Most of the main hall building can’t be seen from the Pop Century anymore due to the construction.
Hi everyone! We had visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Wednesday, stopping to check the Animation building to see if the movie artwork display had yet changed – it hadn’t at that time, the artwork was still from the movie Tangled. But apparently that night, the new display went in. We had wondered previously whether it would be for the upcoming film Winnie the Pooh, or would it be for Cars 2? The answer? Both! The display case and maquettes you see as you enter the room is for Winnie the Pooh (shown later in this post) and the opposite side is for Cars 2 (below, left). A fully detailed Lightning McQueen (below, right).
