Hi everyone! Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is bursting with color (below, left), with fish and coral popping in 3D from the sides of the Finding Nemo buildings (below, right). It’s been over a month since we last stopped by the resort, and it was pretty exciting to see all the changes! Click HERE for all of our past coverage of this exciting new resort dating back to it’s beginnings as Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years Resort.
Hi everyone! We went to Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to take photos and video of the continuing progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). The resort’s sections are themed after The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The Little Mermaid area is the only one that will have standard rooms as opposed to suites, utilizing the former buildings that were built originally for Pop Century’s never-built “The Legendary Years”.
Hi everyone! This week we chose a different location for most of our Magic Kingdom photos and video, Disney’s Contemporary Resort. We went to the roof to get a great view of the Magic Kingdom (below, left). Beast’s Castle looks much smaller from a distance (below, right).

We enjoyed two nights at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort (below, left) thanks to a friend who invited us for a stay at his Grand Villa beach cottage! The lobby is spacious and comfortable (below, right), and features the general store, “Island Grove Packing Company“. A friend of mine calls a Vero Beach visit “forced relaxation” and I agree with that sentiment. Without all the theme parks and other distractions it is much easier to really relax and unwind.
Hi everyone! Lightning McQueen made his debut yesterday at the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show (below, left) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. McQueen started performing at Disneyland Paris, in their Moteurs…Action! Stunt Show Spectacular a few months ago, and has was originally expected to make it here earlier in the summer. Before the show begins, Larry the Cable Guy (below, right) does a short plug for the film Cars 2 onscreen that also included brief interviews with Owen Wilson. Hi everyone! Hi everyone! After a week of rainy weather, we were finally able to head back to Walt Disney World and check out the latest happenings at Disney’s Hollywood Stusios and The Magic Kingdom. A new “Let the Memories Begin” sign has gone up where the Star Tours billboard had been standing (below, left). The sign (below, right) is very similar to the one that has been in front of the Magic Kingdom for the last 6 months. (we have photos and video of the Magic Kingdom sign HERE)
