Tomorrowland’s Space Mountain has finally unveiled the end of it’s post-show. It’s really not that different than previously, with monitors showing guests as they pass by. The attraction was not too busy today, with waits between 10 minutes and 30 minutes this afternoon (below, left). The queue was nearly empty on the first ride (below, right).

It’s been about a week since we’ve been to the Walt Disney World theme parks, and much has happened in the meantime. The Main Street USA train station is undergoing some sort of rehab (below, left). I’ve not seen any information about this elsewhere as to what is going on. Brochures showing the ice castle and Splash Mountain (below, left) show what is not available to guests currently at the park.

We’ve been experiencing beautiful weather in Orlando after the freezing temps at the start of the year. Off-season is a transitional time at Walt Disney World, and much of the update will have to do with that. We also have a few videos to share, including “I’m Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street USA“. One photo of the performance is below, left and you can scroll down to see the video. New blooms have been planted and you can see some of them in front of the Crystal Palace, which is in the middle of it’s rehab (below, right).

Today’s photo memory features a look back at all three versions of Disney’s Pirate & Princess Parties! This was a great event that was last presented back in 2008. I attended the original incarnation in the winter of 2007, followed by the summer 2007 version as well as the final incarnation in winter 2008 (renamed Mickey’s Pirate & Princess Party)! Pirate Mickey (below left) advertising the party outside the Magic Kingdom entrance. The Train Station is decorated for the party as we enter via a smoke filled magic carpet (below right)!

What a beautiful day, after the freeze that we’ve had here in Florida! Christmas is just heading out of the Magic Kingdom, the tree is up today but the dream lights are being taken down from the Cinderella Castle (below left and right).

Here are some photos from near the end of the Walt Disney World Marathon 2010! Props to everyone who ran this endurance race, especially in the colder weather – it’s been literally freezing in Orlando, we even had light snow and sleet! It didn’t stop friends and family from cheering the runners on (below left and right).
