I spent half the day at the Magic Kingdom for the “Disney Parks” parade filming on Friday. It took a little while for the day to get started, but it was fun and interesting to be part of my first taping. The Goodyear Blimp flew over the park (below, left) and cameras were focused on the castle for the first act to take the stage, Yanni and Yanni Voices (below, right).

Christmas is arriving at Walt Disney World, and everything should be up and decorated in the next week. The Contemporary Resort decorated just a couple of days back, with it’s tree out front (below, left) and a new Mary Blair inspired gingerbread display! (below, right)

Phineas and Ferb made a special appearance to promote the Disney Channel on November 13th (below, left). Actress Alyson Stoner joined them (below, right), and all greeted a handful of young guests.

Disney debuted a new stage show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show” for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The first Party was mostly rained-out (many of the shows were canceled, as was the first parade) and I was finally able to see a complete version of Disney’s newest offering. The show includes singing and dancing (below left) as well as a cast of characters that feature crowd-pleasures such as Buzz Lightyear (below, right).

The Magic Kingdom is almost fully decked-out for Christmas (Toontown was not dressed yet). The garland is up on Main Street USA (below, left) and Candy Cane Garden (next to City Hall) is where Santa will be listening to the wish lists of children visiting the park!

Christmas has started to appear at the Magic Kingdom, though it’s not yet fully decorated yet. Poinsettia trees flank the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party sign (below, left) and a Nutcracker stands guard in front of the train station (below, right).
