Hi everyone! Pirate Angelica from the upcoming film Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is now making a splash in Adventureland! She is not only featured on the Tortuga Tavern sign (below, left), but now greeting guests at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction (below, right). She was previously greeting guests at the Adventureland Veranda while her new permanent location was being readied (we have video of my Angelica interview HERE).
Hi everyone! We walked the length of Downtown Disney yesterday to see what was new – and it turns out that plenty is! Pleasure Island will soon become Hyperion Wharf (below, left), and there is a small amount of noticeable progress in that direction (below, right). We have video showing the former nightclubs being torn down HERE.
Hi everyone! We went to the Magic Kingdom today to check out the new Beast’s Castle that went up this weekend (below, left). It’s amazing to see it rising from behind the wall! I especially enjoyed watching as a turret was lifted from below the castle to it’s proper place on the castle (below, right). Our video below shows that! Hi everyone! We paid a visit to the Haunted Mansion today (below, left) as soon as we heard that the new Hitchhiking Ghosts mirror effect was working! Walking through the queue to check out the new tombstone that had been added about a week ago, we were also pointed to another new addition. In reference to the “Bride’s Ring” that used to be in the pavement near the front of the queue (not really the Bride’s Ring, but everyone liked to say it), there is now really a ring – engagement ring – in the pavement of the interactive queue.
We went to the Magic Kingdom in hopes of getting into the soft-opening today of the new Backstage Magic with Mickey Mouse meet and greet – and it was open all day! The newly renamed Town Square Theater (formerly Exposition Hall) is the setting for this new attraction (below, left) that also includes a meet-and-greet with the Disney Princesses. The lobby is beautiful with tile that includes “1901“, the birth year of Walt Disney (below, right).

Thaddeus Toad Motors, Joyce Carlson, Madam Leota, Madam Mim's Potion and Spells, Magic Kingdom, Mary Poppins, Princess Aurora, The Saw of Dread, The Tank of Terror, WED Illusioneering Hi everyone! Yesterday we returned to the Magic Kingdom in part to see the Haunted Mansion (below, left) which has it’s Audio-Animatronic Hitchhiking Ghosts back at the end of the ride (below, right). Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to take a look at the Disney’s Art of Animation construction (below, left). It’s changed a lot since we were last there, with many guest buildings in the process of being built! Also, the years that were part of the Legendary Years resort (which never was completed) are now stripped from the main hall building (below, right). You can still see the outline of the numbers that were removed. Most of the main hall building can’t be seen from the Pop Century anymore due to the construction.
