Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! The newly expanded Lego Imagination Center is now open at Downtown Disney Marketplace! The sea serpent still sits in the water nearby (below, left). An incredible Lego Maleficent shoots fire towards Prince Philip (below, right). Hi everyone! We walked the length of Downtown Disney yesterday to see what was new – and it turns out that plenty is! Pleasure Island will soon become Hyperion Wharf (below, left), and there is a small amount of noticeable progress in that direction (below, right). We have video showing the former nightclubs being torn down HERE. Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) yesterday to take some photos and video of the progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). It’s pretty amazing to see the difference from just a couple of weeks ago! To learn more about what this new resort will feature, we have more information and concept art HERE. Hi everyone! We stopped by Disney’s Pop Century Resort yesterday to take a look at the Disney’s Art of Animation construction (below, left). It’s changed a lot since we were last there, with many guest buildings in the process of being built! Also, the years that were part of the Legendary Years resort (which never was completed) are now stripped from the main hall building (below, right). You can still see the outline of the numbers that were removed. Most of the main hall building can’t be seen from the Pop Century anymore due to the construction. Hi everyone! We had visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Wednesday, stopping to check the Animation building to see if the movie artwork display had yet changed – it hadn’t at that time, the artwork was still from the movie Tangled. But apparently that night, the new display went in. We had wondered previously whether it would be for the upcoming film Winnie the Pooh, or would it be for Cars 2? The answer? Both! The display case and maquettes you see as you enter the room is for Winnie the Pooh (shown later in this post) and the opposite side is for Cars 2 (below, left). A fully detailed Lightning McQueen (below, right). Hi everyone! The new Haunted Mansion interactive queue has been open sporadically over the last few days – but we kept missing it! Today we braved the heavy crowds again (below, left) to try our luck. We were happy that it was open, we have photos and video of the entire queue. Upon entering the queue, there is a row of busts (below, right). The busts were being detailed yesterday while the queue was closed off to guests. |
