Hi everyone! Animal Kingdom celebrated Earth Day yesterday (on it’s 12th anniversary). I arrived early (below left and right), hoping to see the updated morning show – but it was canceled. Hi everyone! We were surprised to see so many changes at the Magic Kingdom yesterday after just a couple of days – and Epcot as well, with new plants and so much more going on! At the Magic Kingdom, Grad Nite preparations are in full swing (below left and right) for next weekend. Hi everyone! We visited Pooh’s Playful Spot (below, left) on Monday to get one last look at the play area before it was blocked off – Ariel’s Grotto went down one day earlier than Pooh’s Playful Spot as Fantasyland pushes towards expansion. The tree (below, right) is supposed to be moved next to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Hi everyone! The walls are now up around Ariel’s Grotto, and they may have gone up today at Pooh’s Playful Spot as well (we’ll be back there on Thursday to check it out). We first stopped at Ariel’s Grotto on Sunday, to see it one last time before it closed. You can see the dining area (below, left) and the statue of Ariel (below, right). Hi everyone! D-Street (bottom, left) opened last week – we missed the Annual Passholder event (actually, we didn’t know about it until after it happened!), but it was fun to stop by and have a look around at all the Disney treasures from places like the Adventurers Club, such as the zebra display case (below, right). Hi everyone – I had a great Easter Sunday at Walt Disney World! Did you know that there is still an Easter pre-parade at the Magic Kingdom? The last full parade was in 2000, but there is currently a procession that includes the Easter Bunny, as well as springtime themed characters and the Mobile Azalea Trail Maids. Hi everyone! This has been a busy (but terrific) week, and included a visit to the Walt Disney World Speedway. Considering that I’ve been a NASCAR fan all of my life, and a huge Disney fan since I can remember, I’m surprised it took me this long to visit and that it took a special Annual Passholder offer to get me there! We visited on March 31st (below, left), the last day of the passholder free ride-along (how is that for a great passholder perk?) You can see the Richard Petty Driving Experience car out on the track (below, right). Continue reading Walt Disney World Speedway / Richard Petty Driving Experience – Photos and Video |
