We had the opportunity to be part of the Goofy’s Mystery Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and spent a couple of hours prior to that checking out everything that has changed at the park since our last visit. There is a lot of excitement on the internet for the upcoming Star Tours 3-D: The Adventure Continues (below, left). The film strip outside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios now includes the new attraction (below, right).
The new poster outside of Star Tours: The Adventure Continues includes the Starspeeder 1000 (below left and right). There will be 54 possible story combination’s in the new attraction, and even a cameo by Rex.
The Star Tours Fastpass Return is ready for guests, once the attraction opens (below, left). We saw cast members (below, right) heading into the building, with their names and some sort of Star Wars script on the hard hats (and “empire” on the side).

The long-awaited new Phineas and Ferb meet-and-greet will soon be open for guests (below, left). The Cars meet-and-greet is also being changed to a new Cars 2 theme (below, right).

We had a great time at the Goofy’s Mystery Tour (Goofy’s Time Machine Mystery Tour 2011, below, left). We were invited by cast member friends, and we came in #32 out of over 250 teams. Not bad for our first time! Some teams came dressed in themed outfits (below, right).
We love our new Goofy’s Time Machine Mystery Tour shirts and pins (below, left), with the tie-dyed motif. A DJ started off the event with a variety of songs for teams to get warmed up for the trivia and mystery to come (below, right).
Goofy showed up to begin the event (below, left), and our challenge started with 100 trivia questions (below, right). Most were much harder than we expected, the one I have below was probably the easiest.
The second part of the challenge was to solve puzzles, with the help of cast members dressed like streetmosphere actors (below, left). The cast members would make sure your answers were correct, then hand out the next set of clues. One example was when we solved a puzzle where the answer was “Horror is not my favorite genre”. We took it to the film crew (below, right), and we received 50 points along with the next word in helping solve the final answer. We came in #32 out of over 250 teams!
Our group really enjoyed the event (below, right), and we hope to do it again next year. There was a plaque given out to the top three teams (below, right), all of them did a great job and got through all the challenges (we don’t know how!) It was a fun evening, and definitely helps gear us up for the D23 scavenger hunt next week!
Video #3 – Goofy’s Time Machine Mystery Tour 2011 Highlights Disney’s Hollywood Studios – This is the Goofy Mystery Tour from 2011, with a time machine theme! This is a cast member event, we were invited by friends to participate with them (not everyone in the group has to be a cast member). It was a lot of fun. The history of the event is mentioned as well.
