Phineas and Ferb’s new Meet & Play debuted yesterday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we were there for opening day! The title of the Meet & Play is “We’re Making a Movie – The Movie” (below, left). Phineas and Ferb pose for us as they rock out on their air guitars (below, right). This was their first day, and there will be a few changes in the upcoming weeks (mostly to the background).
The day was hot and the lines long for this wonderful new addition to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (below, left). It is located near the Muppets shop and the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show. A rocket and snowman are part of the backdrop (below, right).
Inside a booth that includes props for the entertainment during the Meet & Play, there is a sign that says “Phineas and Ferb Productions” (below, left). Perry the Platypus rises up from behind the fence and in very popular with the young guests when they notice him (below, right).
Phineas and Ferb strike different poses for us, from guitar players (below, left) to surfers (below, right). Although this is Phineas & Ferb’s first official in park meet & greet, we had seen them a few times previously when they made rare public appearances as in this 2009 in park visit with Alyson Stoner or last year during the 2010 ABC Christmas Parade taping.

Cletus Filmore, who is “the greatest filmmaker ever…in the tri-state area” is making a movie with Phineas and Ferb, and including everyone as extras. The filmmaker comes out about once an hour for this meet & play, and it’s different every time! Cletus directs Phineas and Ferb in their movie (below, left), adding in an adult extra to the mix (below, right).
Children wear hula skirts that were handed out (below, left), as an adult extra is crowned King and the children dance around him (below, right).

This is an intro with Cletus Filmore, who is “the greatest filmmaker ever…in the tri-state area”. He is making a movie with Phineas and Ferb, and including everyone as extras. The filmmaker comes out about once an hour for this meet & play, and it’s different every time!
We waited in line for Phineas and Ferb (below, left). The line was usually between a 30 and 45 minute wait when we were there. Phineas and Ferb had a few extra minutes after the Meet & Play, so they grabbed their guitars to play while greeting guests in the audience (below, right).
Video #3 – Phineas and Ferb Meet & Play First Day 5/29/11 Disney’s Hollywood Studios w/ Fun Ending! – Phineas and Ferb Meet and Play/Meet and Greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
