The Christmas tree is now up at the Magic Kingdom! We have not visited since last weekend for the parade taping, and it’s nice to see the garland back up and the tree finally in place (below left and right).
Raggedy Ann sits under the tree (below, left) as do small toy soldiers like the ones that march in the parade (below, right).
The Main Street trolley was operating at around noon (below, left) and had a “Happy Holidays” sign on the back (below, right).
Over at the Grand Floridian, decorative deer were in several places around the resort. You can see them out front (below, left) as well as before walking in the front door (below, right).
A Grand Floridian tradition is to serve hot cider (below, left) and chestnuts roasted on an open fire (below right) to guests at the entrance. This will happen until Christmas Day, and ends every day at 6pm.
The magnificent Christmas tree now sits in the lobby, and there is an angel at the front entrance (below, left and right).
There was a demonstration on how to decorate a gingerbread house with icing, chocolate and candy (below left and right).
Bonus Video – Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Decorating Demonstration – This is a portion of a demonstration being held in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and the results of one finished house.
Poinsettia’s are planted all over, and you can see them in front of the pool area (below, left) and by the fountain (below, right).
The Fort Wilderness Tree is near Pioneer Hall (below, left) and the campers have – as always – shown their holiday spirit this Christmas season (below, right).
An inflatable Santa Claus sits at one campsite (below, left) and sleigh rides are now from Fort Wilderness and not The Wilderness Lodge. The sleighs sit at the Blacksmith shop when not in use (below, right).
