We enjoyed a day at the Magic Kingdom this weekend (below, left). The Christmas tree in Town Square is now up (below, right). The tree is currently placed in the Magic Kingdom after the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping.
We spent Sunday at the Magic Kingdom, which is in the full swing of Christmas (below, left). We previously showed you the Nutcracker soldiers in Town Square at night, here they are at their positions during the day (below, right). Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World’sMagic Kingdom (below, left) is now in full swing, we attended the first two parties! There is a new welcome banner for this year (below, left). Cinderella Castle looked beautiful in all it’s sparkling glory (below, right).
Walt Disney World continues to transform into Christmas mode as the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian is set to open on Monday! (below, left) We were there for the final sifting over the structure by the chef, as cast members were adding last-minute touches. Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus (below, left) were ready to be put into place. We learned that nearly everything is made of chocolate (or edible), except the furniture, some trees and a few other items.
Disney debuted a new stage show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show” for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The first Party was mostly rained-out (many of the shows were canceled, as was the first parade) and I was finally able to see a complete version of Disney’s newest offering. The show includes singing and dancing (below left) as well as a cast of characters that feature crowd-pleasures such as Buzz Lightyear (below, right).
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Orlando, Florida! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicked off last night, albeit it was a wet one. Arriving at the park, the sign was up for the Party (below, left). The first “Cinderella’s Holiday Wish” Christmas Castle Lighting was beautiful as always! (below, right).
As promised, I am featuring some photos from the 2008 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World. Below is the newly decked-out for Christmas train station and Holiday Treats balloon!
Next we experience Cinderella’s Castle transformed into a sparkling, glistening Ice Castle during “Cinderella’s Holiday Wish”.
Main Street is never so festive as it is during “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” below! Mickey and Minnie are the grand marshals of this Magic Kingdom holiday classic! Scrooge McDuck even makes an appearance!
The Parade also features one of my all-time favorites, the Toy Soldiers from Babes in Toyland! The festivities continue with “Holiday Wishes – Celebrate the Spirit of the Season”, now enhanced by the Castle Dream Lights!
Next is the “Celebrate the Season” show, featuring Christmas favorites in a dazzling, singing and dancing extravaganza!
