Hi everyone! I’ve had the opportunity to celebrate Disneyland’s birthday (July 17th) in person many times in the past, including at the big media event for the 50th! But there are years that we don’t get to Disneyland in July – so we celebrate instead at the Magic Kingdom (below, right). We celebrated the 57th birthday of Disneyland on a very rainy day at the park. Our tradition is to ride opening day Disneyland attractions, but some of them are outside, so we couldn’t really be too choosy!

We spent a few hours yesterday at the Magic Kingdom (below, left) – it’s hard to believe it’s been a month since we’ve visited! The last visit we made was when the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N Soak area was opened. The Main Street Bakery had been under a facade for quite some time including the last time we were here, and it looks very nice and bright now (below, right).

Walk this way to the new Casey Jr. Splash ‘N Soak at the Magic Kingdom (below, left!) Casey Jr. greets you with eyes wide open (below, right), or giving a wink. There is no doubt about it, guests will get soaked while in this new water play area!
Hi everyone! We attended the final evening of Snow White’s Scary Adventures at The Magic Kingdom (below, left). This was an opening day attraction, and it’s always sad to lose one of those. Snow White’s Scary Adventures is closing to make way for Princess Fairytale Hall, a meet and greet area for the Disney princesses to be part of the New Fantasyland. I first rode Snow White’s Adventures in 1971, and it was quite different back then – there was a lot more of the witch, and no Snow White. The Evil Queen and a young Snow White (below, right) even paid a visit on Friday night.
Hi everyone! “The Magic, The Memories and You!” debuted it’s summer edition on Friday night at the Magic Kingdom. The new segment begins with a blink-or-you-miss-it appearance by Phineas and Ferb on Cinderella Castle (below, left). Cinderella Castle is shown as a huge sand castle, complete with shells (below, right). Check out more Phineas and Ferb HERE.
Hi everyone! Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Magic Kingdom, heading first to the new Disney/Pixar’s BRAVE Princess Merida meet and greet location. A Cast Member in Scottish clothing welcomed us (below, left). Princess Merida now has her bow and arrow prop (below, right). This is the same Merida that we met at Epcot last week! We have a video from Epcot that has made it’s way into online newspapers and large websites.

Circus animals have been added to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘n Soak at Storybook Circus in new Fantasyland! You can see the Casey Jr. over the fence (below, left), and a wider view of the different train cars that will be part of this water play area for kids (below, right).
