Hi everyone! Phineas and Ferb’s new Meet & Play debuted yesterday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we were there for opening day! The title of the Meet & Play is “We’re Making a Movie – The Movie” (below, left). Phineas and Ferb pose for us as they rock out on their air guitars (below, right). This was their first day, and there will be a few changes in the upcoming weeks (mostly to the background).
Hi everyone! We had a fantastic time at Destination D! The event was full of wonderful Disney memories, and we made some new ones as well. There was even a small Archives area which consisted of characters such as Donald Duck, Panchito and José Carioca from the classic Mickey Mouse Revue (below, left) and Figment from the original Journey into Imagination. (below, right).
Hi everyone! We were invited by a friend to enjoy a movie at the new AMC Dine-In Theaters at Downtown Disney (below, left). Cast members were offered a free movie, as well as a free soft drink and appetizer or entree. They were also allowed to bring guests! There is outdoor seating in front of the theater (below, left). This entrance now services only the Dine-In Theaters (below, right).
Hi everyone! We had the opportunity to be part of the Goofy’s Mystery Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and spent a couple of hours prior to that checking out everything that has changed at the park since our last visit. There is a lot of excitement on the internet for the upcoming Star Tours 3-D: The Adventure Continues (below, left). The film strip outside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios now includes the new attraction (below, right).
Walt Disney World: Vintage Photo Memories – Disney’s Grand Floridian Beach Resort Under ConstructionHi everyone! There has been quite a lot of interest lately in my vintage Walt Disney World photos (I have thousands dating back to the 70’s!), and am sharing a few today. Not everyone remembers that when Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa opened in June of 1988, it was called the Disney’s Grand Floridian Beach Resort (below). The exterior was was based on the Hotel del Coronado in California.
Hi everyone! We had a wonderful time this morning at the Royal Wedding Sleepover! Via Twitter, guests were invited to register for this viewing event of the marriage of William and Kate (below, left). We arrived at 4:00 am this morning, and were each greeted with a pair of Mickey Mouse bridal ears and a nice selection of breakfast items, including scones and pastries. Cinderella’s Carriage was also on hand for viewing (below, right).
Hi everyone! We had the opportunity to tour the amazing Royal Asante Presidential Suite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (below, left). The suite is over 2000 square feet – it seems even larger, and has so much detail in every room. The living room is spacious, with couches and chairs in a circle (below, right), and a fireplace just steps away.
