Circus animals have been added to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘n Soak at Storybook Circus in new Fantasyland! You can see the Casey Jr. over the fence (below, left), and a wider view of the different train cars that will be part of this water play area for kids (below, right).

The Orange Bird has landed back at the Magic Kingdom! We signed up for the D23 event, where the unveiling of the Orange Bird was met with enthusiasm. There are new posters under the Main Street Train Station featuring the Sunshine Tree Terrace (below, left). The Orange Bird is now visible above the sign at the Terrace as well (below, right).

Epcot’s GM Test Track (below, left) closed yesterday for a lengthy re-design, it will eventually be the Chevrolet Design Center – there is no definite date to re-open, but it seems it will be at least October before it’s finished. We stopped for a moment at the Cool Wash (below, right) before going for a ride.

Friday was a busy day at Walt Disney World for us, we started at Epcot for a Flower and Garden Festival seminar (partly hosted by Eric Darden) and then headed to the Magic Kingdom (below, left) to photograph the Fantasyland construction. The castle wall portion of the Fantasyland project is moving along (below, right), with Beast’s Castle in the background.

We had a terrific opportunity to visit the Presidential Suite at Disney’s Contemporary Resort a couple of weeks ago (below, left). The Presidential Suite is on the concierge level (below, right), and overlooks the Magic Kingdom – unlike the Vice Presidential Suite, which has a Bay Lake view.

Yesterday we went to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (below, left) to see the beautiful Easter Egg Display in the lobby (below, right). This is the first year of the lobby display, though the decorated eggs have been placed in restaurants during the Easter holiday for the last 15 years. Each egg is hollow milk chocolate, weighing 9 – 12 pounds and is 16 – 20 inches tall!
