Hi everyone! Yesterday was a busy one at the Magic Kingdom. The Mickey Christmas ornament is now replaced with a more traditional Mickey at the front of the park (below, left). Scrims are up around Main Street U.S.A. (below, right), as the end of the holiday season always seems to lead to a few months of extensive rehabs.
 Whats Happening  Beasts Castle, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Bonjour Village Gifts, Dumbo Testing, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Gaston's Tavern, Liberty Square, Little Mermaid ride building, Magic Kingdom, Magic Kingdom Update, Main Street Bakery, Main Street USA, Maleficent, New Fantasyland, Peter Pan's Flight interactive queue, Seven Dwarfs Mine shop, Skyway station, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Testing, Storybook Circus Hi everyone! The interactive game, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom (below, left) was play testing on Sunday at the Magic Kingdom. We had just finished up breakfast at Boma with friends when we found out that the testing had just started. We were handed a map (below, left) and 5 spell cards – there are 70 in all – and told to go to Fantasyland to start our adventure.
Whats Happening Adventureland, Cinderella, Circle of Power, Dumbo the Flying Elephant Final Flight, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Lightning McQueen, Magic Kingdom, Main Street Fire Station, Main Street U.S.A., Mama Odie, Merlin, Pocohantas, Sir Mickey's, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Play Testing, Storybook Circus, Tortuga Tavern, Walt Disney World, Woody Hi everyone! We enjoyed a picture-perfect day at the Magic Kingdom, though the temperatures never rose above 50 degrees. Mickey and Minnie Mouse were still dressed in their Christmas finest (below, left) and decorations were still up around the park. Dumbo the Flying Elephant was testing in Storybook Circus (below, right). The current Dumbo that will be part of the twin Dumbos will close on January 9th and is set to open again on February 18th!
Hi everyone! We enjoyed the first day of the Magic Kingdom Christmas offerings as they are now available to all guests! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade (below, left) was as festive as during the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Duffy the Disney Bear (below, right) joined Mickey and Minnie on the Christmas tree float.
Whats Happening A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas, Beasts Castle, Bon Jour Village Gifts, Celebrate the Season, Duffy the Disney Bear, Fantasyland train station, Gaston's Tavern, Gingerbread, Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Magic Kingdom, Mickey shaped pretzels, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Santa Claus, Stitch, Storybook Circus, Tortuga Sangaree, Tortuga Tavern Hi everyone! We were invited by a friend of ours to go to the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping on Saturday morning. Guests with the passes could get in at 7:30am, though regular day guests could participate in the rest of the parade taping. Decorations for the parade sat atop buildings on Main Street U.S.A. (below, left). There was only one musical act left to tape, and that was Justin Bieber. Guests waited in front of Cinderella Castle for the taping to begin (below, right).
Hi everyone! We had the opportunity yesterday to take photos and video as Miss America Teresa Scanlan joined Champions from the Children’s Miracle Network as Grand Marshals in the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade (below left and right). Champions are young ambassadors from around the country who represent the 17 million children who have benefitted from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Yesterday we put off our Magic Kingdom update to focus on the Cubot interactive test, but I’m happy to be sharing our Magic Kingdom photos and video today! Denise noticed the pumpkin wreaths at the Magic Kingdom tollbooth (below, left) as we drove to the park. The Disney and American flags were flying at half-staff in memory of Steve Jobs (below, right).
