We had the opportunity to tour the amazing Royal Asante Presidential Suite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (below, left). The suite is over 2000 square feet – it seems even larger, and has so much detail in every room. The living room is spacious, with couches and chairs in a circle (below, right), and a fireplace just steps away.
Pirate Angelica from the upcoming film Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is now making a splash in Adventureland! She is not only featured on the Tortuga Tavern sign (below, left), but now greeting guests at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction (below, right). She was previously greeting guests at the Adventureland Veranda while her new permanent location was being readied (we have video of my Angelica interview HERE).
We went to the Magic Kingdom in hopes of getting into the soft-opening today of the new Backstage Magic with Mickey Mouse meet and greet – and it was open all day! The newly renamed Town Square Theater (formerly Exposition Hall) is the setting for this new attraction (below, left) that also includes a meet-and-greet with the Disney Princesses. The lobby is beautiful with tile that includes “1901“, the birth year of Walt Disney (below, right).
We were at Disney’s Hollywood Studios yesterday and decided to check on the Magic of Animation display area, in case Toy Story 3 had made way for Tangled. As you can see below, Tangled now fully encompasses this area that has also featured The Princess and the Frog and UP! A display case (below, left) holds artwork from the film. A closer look (below, right) shows the film title, along with art depicting characters and scenes from the film that originally had been titled after the main character, Rapunzel.
We stopped by Disney’s Hollywood Studios and found a new Toy Story 3 exhibit up where the Princess and the Frog had been (and UP before that). We’ve had photos and video of all these exhibits. The cases (below, left) hold quite a bit of artwork and story drawings from the film. Slinky Dog (below, left) is returning, as are most (or all) of the characters you love.
I had the opportunity to go to my first ESPN The Weekend event, it was really a great time! The theming starts from the time you arrive (below, left) and the stage in front of the sorcerer hat holds a variety of events during the weekend (below, right).
