Hi everyone! We had a very full day at Walt Disney World yesterday, with a short visit to Epcot before heading to the Magic Kingdom. We ended our day at Animal Kingdom, for the Expedition Everest 5th Anniversary Passholder Event. Our first stop at the Magic Kingdom was to ride the Walt Disney World Railroad, and it was the first day of the Storybook Circus and New Fantasyland artwork now being on the walls (below left and right). There is now a solid wall where the mesh fence used to be. Hi everyone! Today we have a lot to cover from The Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Pleasure Island. Mickey’s Toontown Fair (below, left) is now closed for good, though we do have video and photos from the last day! Donald’s Boat, the S.S. Miss Daisy can be seen above the fence from the Walt Disney World Railroad (below, right). Mickey’s Toontown Fair will be replaced with the Storybook Circus area of Fantasyland.

With today being the last day of Mickey’s Toontown Fair, I wanted to look back at the beginning of this area of the park. Mickey’s Toontown Fair originated as “Mickey’s Birthdayland“, for the 60th birthday of Mickey Mouse in 1988 (below, left). The Walt Disney World Railroad (renamed Mickey’s Birthdayland Express) had a catchy song, and a “Happy Birthday Mickey” sign on the front of the train (below, right).
Hi everyone! We continue our Disney Dream coverage with the two Broadway-style shows that we enjoyed. The first is of the Golden Mickeys – A Timeless Tribute (below left and right), I’d seen it back in 2004 and was delighted to get to see it again! The show is patterned after awards shows and features performances of classic Disney songs (and a new sequence based on the film “Tangled“)
Hi everyone! We’ve had a great time taking photos and video around the various Walt Disney World resorts over the past couple of weeks. There is so much to see! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is truly grand, with vintage vehicles in front of the resort (below, left) and beautiful decorations inside (below, right).
Hi everyone! We’ve been spending a lot of time around property, checking out the resorts and parks for Christmas (we are trying to get to 8 or so resorts tomorrow!) The Swan and Dolphin (below, left) really did a great job of decking the halls this year – more than ever. The Walt Disney World Swan Resort has an incredible chocolate Santa display (below, right) that is 3 million calories!
Hi everyone! Brrrr….it may not be as cold as some areas of the country, but Orlando area temperatures have reached freezing levels! Topiaries and plants around property have been covered up due to the cold. In the front of Epcot (below, left), the trees are sitting in a blanket of white coverings. The Pluto topiary is wrapped in a brightly colored covering (below, right).
