Hi everyone! Yesterday afternoon we stopped by Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort before heading to the Magic Kingdom to do some recording for my next project. The construction wall (for the rumored DVC expansion) spans much of the sidewalk between the main building and the Wedding Pavilion (below left). Walls also lead into the Grand Floridian Spa (below, right).
Hi everyone! Lightning McQueen made his debut yesterday at the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show (below, left) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. McQueen started performing at Disneyland Paris, in their Moteurs…Action! Stunt Show Spectacular a few months ago, and has was originally expected to make it here earlier in the summer. Before the show begins, Larry the Cable Guy (below, right) does a short plug for the film Cars 2 onscreen that also included brief interviews with Owen Wilson. Hi everyone! We enjoyed Sunday at the Magic Kingdom to celebrate Disneyland’s 56th birthday! I’ve often been able to celebrate at Disneyland itself, but we have other Disneyland plans coming up soon. We hadn’t realized that Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was to be taping in the park that day, we learned from a friend that afternoon that there would be a parade and flyover. We got there early enough to see the parade (below left and right) honoring Barbara Marshall, a former Navy officer who assists homeless women veterans. Hi everyone! It’s been a few weeks since we’ve stopped by Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (artwork below, left). A lot of changes have occurred since then, on each section of buildings (below, left). Hi everyone! After a week of rainy weather, we were finally able to head back to Walt Disney World and check out the latest happenings at Disney’s Hollywood Stusios and The Magic Kingdom. A new “Let the Memories Begin” sign has gone up where the Star Tours billboard had been standing (below, left). The sign (below, right) is very similar to the one that has been in front of the Magic Kingdom for the last 6 months. (we have photos and video of the Magic Kingdom sign HERE)
Hi everyone! The Main Street Fire Station shop, also know as Engine Co.71 (below, left) was scheduled to close to the public this week. We paid a visit last weekend to get some photos around the store. One of the more popular features for guest viewing has been the various fire station patches from around the country (below, right). We were told that they were to be temporarily displayed inside City Hall now, but nothing seems known about the plans for the Fire Station itself.
Hi everyone! We paid two visits to the Magic Kingdom this weekend, you can see that Fourth of July banners have been added to some buildings (below, left). It’s very festive! On the other side of the spectrum, it was an emotional day for the last day of Flynn Rider at the Tangled Play & Greet (below, right).
