I was able to see some of the more popular holiday and Christmas displays yesterday around the Boardwalk resort area. The first display I visited was a gingerbread carousel at the Beach Club Resort, which is in it’s 10th year (below, left). Tinker Bell sits atop the carousel (below, right).
A variety of Disney characters are part of the display, including Mickey (below, left). One of the horses on the carousel sits in front of a gingerbread house that is like those for sale (below, right).
You can buy gingerbread items starting at just $4.00 (below, left). Just in time for Thanksgiving, Mickey and Minnie as pilgrims can also be found in some of the gift shops (below, right).
Video #1 – Beach Club Gingerbread Carousel Display, Walt Disney World, November 2009 – This is from the Walt Disney World Beach Club Resort, the carousel display that they put up every year for the holidays.
At the Yacht Club Resort, it’s yearly train display was up and still being decorated with final touches (below left and right).
Mickey and Minnie sit in a swing (below, left) and one true Hidden Mickey is in the display (below, right).
The Boardwalk Resort offers a gingerbread display that includes Daisy, Donald and Stitch (below left and right). Donald is roasting his bottom over a fire!
Frosty the snowman guards a photo of Donald and Daisy (below, left) while Chip roasts a marshmallow (below, right).

The Dolphin resort has put up it’s gigantic tree (below, left), which also includes a train set around the base. A lone swan boat is pedaled around the lake (below, right).
The Christmas tree at Epcot appears to be finished, with presents around the base instead of the yearly train (below, left). The stage for gospel group D’Vine is now set with trees (below, right).
Most of the countries in World Showcase will feature a Santa who tells of the traditions of that country. Germany has it’s stage set with a nutcracker (below, left) and Norway with a Christmas tree and a few other props (below, right). If you’ve never seen the Santa’s, they are quite interesting – you can find them on my Epcot’s Holiday Traditions title!
