Denise Preskitt from partner site Mousesteps.com visited Epcot for July 4th and has photos and video to share! Remember, I have recently re-released my previously retired DVD Epcot’s Star Spangled Holiday Spectacular. Now you can see what Independence day was like at Epcot Center in the early 90’s (for more information or to order, please click HERE).
The Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps made numerous appearances throughout the day (below, left). Goofy salutes the onlookers in his revolutionary outfit, flanked by Donald and Mickey (below, right).
Ben Franklin smiles and greets the crowd (below, left). Betsy Ross took up a cooler residence in the rotunda of the American Adventure (below, right).
The Corps comes out for another performance (below, left). Donald, Goofy and Mickey pose for photos (below, right).
The Sounds like Summer Concert Series continued, with Bon Jovi cover band Slippery When Wet performing 4 shows through the evening.
After Illuminations, the globe illuminated red, white and blue (below, left). The American Adventure played a central part in the patriotic Illuminations tag, and also had red and blue emanating (below, right).
