Hi everyone! Today was the first day of Long Lost Friends Week (the second one of the year – see our coverage of week #1 HERE) for Limited Time Magic. Signs were posted letting everyone know who would be meeting (below, left). Chicken Little and Abby Mallard get in position once I tell them that the sky is falling (below, right).

This week is True Love Week at Disney’s Magic Kingdom for Limited Time Magic (below, left). Princes joined their princesses in greeting guests, and it’s been extremely popular. Here in Orlando, it’s the time of the year to get ready for Christmas! We attended the first three Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights (below, left). Christmas trees are set in front of the Main Street railroad station (below, right), and Mickey’s head is in the shape of a giant ornament.

We had a great time attending the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season! We had been in California for 11 nights, and missed seeing the Halloween decorations as they were put up. The pumpkins are back in front of the park (below, left), and new decorative lit inflatable balls have been added (below, right). These are in place of the white ones from previous years.

We went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday afternoon to enjoy a little downtime – but it turns out, there was a lot to see and we ended up spending most of our time taking photos and video! A friend told us that the scrims on Main Street U.S.A. had been blown off buildings during a windstorm (below, left). We rode the Walt Disney World Railroad – 3 times! – and enjoyed the view of the new Fantasyland train Station which will be open soon (below, right).

Pirate Angelica from the upcoming film Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is now making a splash in Adventureland! She is not only featured on the Tortuga Tavern sign (below, left), but now greeting guests at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction (below, right). She was previously greeting guests at the Adventureland Veranda while her new permanent location was being readied (we have video of my Angelica interview HERE).
Hi everyone! Mickey’s Toontown Fair has closed forever to make way for the Fantasyland expansion, but we spent the last few hours on Friday enjoying this land before the walls went up around it for good. We entered Mickey’s Toontown Fair by train (below, left) and took a couple of last rides on Goofy’s Barnstormer (below, right), which will be rethemed as The Great Goofini as part of the expansion (below, right). |
