Hi everyone! We spent an afternoon visiting the displays around the Epcot resorts – including Disney’s Beach Club, Disney’s Yacht Club, and Disney’s Boardwalk Resorts – we’ll be sharing the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort displays in another post! The Beach Club gingerbread carousel (below, left) is back for a 13th year, flanked by 3 smaller displays. “Splash”, the name of the horse that is next to the carousel (below, right) has Cinderella Castle on top of it.
Entrance Scenes New “Let the Memories Begin” welcome sign and banners greet you as you enter the Magic Kingdom turnstiles! Haunted Mansion Interactive Queue You’re taking the “scenic route” through the Haunted Cemetery in this detailed tour of the newly enhanced graveyard. Blackbeard is featured in the new film, Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides – and now he’s also projected onto the water mist before the drop on the attraction (below, right).

Hi everyone! We continue our Disney Dream coverage with some photos and video from Castaway Cay (below, left), as well as Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean show and Buccaneer Blast fireworks. We actually didn’t spend much time on Castaway Cay, choosing to spend time on board the Disney Dream (below, right) to take more photos and video before venturing out onto the island.
Hi everyone! I had the pleasure of joining Denise from Mousesteps as she was invited to the Disney Dream Christening event and cruise. I’ve had the opportunity to cover many amazing Disney press events over the last 20 or so years, but this was possibly the most spectacular one ever! A Navy color guard and band opened the proceedings (below, left). The beautiful Disney Dream sat in the background (below, right).
Hi everyone! Captain Jack’s Pirate Tutorial moved to a new stage a few weeks back, and Mousesteps was there to get photos and video of the show! Note: These were taken several days after the accident that led to the death of a cast member in the show, our condolences go out to the family and friends of Mark Priest. There is a wonderful write-up about him in the Orlando Sentinel HERE. Mack entertains the crowd before Captain Jack Sparrow makes an appearance (below, left).
