Hi everyone! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2010 is in full swing, and there were even some changes from our first Halloween Party. The large, inflatable pumpkins at the Magic Kingdom turnstiles are now up (below, left) and a gigantic spider was projected onto Space Mountain (below, right). I haven’t seen this effect in several years!
Hi everyone! We went to the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party of the year – it was a nice time to go, with few crowds (later in the season the parties are heavily attended). There was a sign at the entrance to the security area (below, left) that let guests know about the party. Mickey and Minnie Mouse are now greeting party goers inside the Judges Tent – there was a delay in everyone getting to meet them, but we made it in and you can see that they are now dressed in their Pirates and Princess outfits (below, right).
Hi everyone! We went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday and were hoping to see the a fully decorated park – and we weren’t disappointed! The front of the Main Street Railroad Station had it’s usual Halloween decorations (below, left), and the Mayor of Main Street USA (below, right) looks dapper in Scarecrow form.
Hi everyone! We were able to ride Space Mountain yesterday (below left), there is now music on 60 speakers throughout the ride – it isn’t an onboard ride track. There are also whooshing sounds that happen as you pass certain areas of the ride. We also noticed a spider web projection on the building, I have not seen this for a number of years – the last time being the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party from a couple of years back.
Hi everyone! It’s been a rainy week here in Orlando, but we’ve been able to get out and enjoy the parks a bit even so. At the Magic Kingdom looking towards Cinderella Castle (below, left), we noticed that new metallic railings had been installed – and it might have happened a little while back, but we don’t usually get into this area that normally is roped off for the dessert party. The Tomorrowland Terrace (below, right) is being used for a dinner buffet through the free dining August/September time period. Hi everyone! I’ve already shown some of the highlights from the first two days of Star Wars Celebration V, here are some from the rest of the convention! Anthony Daniels (below left and right) was one of the special guests for the weekend with host Jay Laga’aia. He is always very entertaining.
Hi everyone! I’ve been having a great time at Star Wars Celebration V! We’ve not had a lot of time to do an update, the schedule is jam packed and we’ve wanted to see (and photograph) everything we can. The convention center (below, left) has banners that announce the big event! The Death Star (below, right) hovers over the guests arriving into the building.
