Princess Merida from Disney/Pixar’s Brave started greeting guests yesterday, in tests around Epcot before she moves to Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom (below, left). Yesterday, Merida was near Innoventions, today she was meeting guests as they entered through the International Gateway (below, right).
Brave centers around Merida, the feisty daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. She is a skilled archer (below, left), and her hair cascades down her shoulders in person, just as in the film. Her “signature move” is the bow and arrow stance, it reminds me of how Flynn Rider has his smolder. Merida posed with me, crossing arms (below, right).
Video #1 – Merida Meet and Greet at Epcot, First Look at Princess From Disney Pixar Brave, Walt Disney World – Disney/Pixar’s Merida is currently greeting guests on a test basis at Epcot before she heads to Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. She is the feisty princess in the upcoming Disney/Pixar film “Brave”.
Brave was originally titled The Bear and the Bow, and is not only Pixar’s first fairy tale, but Princess Merida is also the first Pixar heroine. Scottish actress Kelly MacDonald will provide the voice of Merida, and John Ratzenberger – who has been in every Pixar film thus far – will play a guard. Princess Merida (below, left) laughs along with a child. The crowds were very light today, and it allowed Merida to spend extra time with everyone (below, right).
