Last night we went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (below, left) to see the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights (below, right). We first spent an hour or so walking around the Boardwalk to see holiday displays, and we’ll be sharing photos and videos of those soon!
The colors of the Osborne Lights display are more vibrant than ever before! Many of the old favorites are still there (below, left), but new additions have been made as well. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights (below, right) is one of the best ways to enjoy the holidays at Walt Disney World!

Snowflakes have been added near the Nativity (below, left). The Nativity scene is as beautiful as ever (below, right).
The purple cat (below, left) that moves around each year (we won’t tell you where it is!) has been joined by a Razorback Pig, which is a tribute to Jennings Osborne (below, right).
The new all LED canopy is likely the biggest change and the best surprise of the Lights this year (below left and right). The colors and shapes on it remind me more of Fremont Street in Las Vegas. And each time we saw it, the display did something different!
Video #2 – Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights 11/21/11 Animated LED Canopy, Disney’s Hollywood Studios – The canopy at The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Walt Disney World) is now animated (more like Fremont Street in Las Vegas). It features all new LED lights for 2011!
The dogs at the door are back (below, left) sans one – last year there was a puppy with a cone around his neck. A snowman holds a kite near the canopy (below, right).
Elves climb up the subway staircase (below, left). Familiar carolers stand on the sidewalk, books in hand (below, right).
Remember the digital display windows from last year? Those had snowflakes, this year’s windows include a variety of different scenes, including ones from Prep and Landing (below left and right). Last year, Phineas and Ferb was featured heavily – this year it’s Prep and Landing.

Solidiers stand in front of the red tree (below, left). See the hidden Mickey in the tree? Santa Claus takes the reigns, pulling his reindeer in the sleigh (below, right).
Another tribute to Jennings Osborne is prominently displayed (below, left), and includes a slideshow of photos of the family (below, right). Jennings Osborne passed away this year, but was at the display last year (below, right). We just missed seeing him last year, we were in the park and heard a lot of clapping – but didn’t know what it was for.
