Hi everyone! I had a great time last night celebrating Disneyland’s 55th Birthday. Normally I celebrate it at Disneyland, but this year we didn’t make it out there for July and spent the evening reliving Disneyland opening day attractions at the Magic Kingdom (below, left). Along the way, we took some photos of the construction projects around the Magic Kingdom. The courtyard area of Exposition Hall is now open and looks great, with new landscaping and brickwork (below, right).

Hi everyone! Yesterday we visited the Magic Kingdom to check on the progress in Fantasyland. Trees have been taken down behind the wall, and the area is being prepped for the upcoming Fantasyland Forest construction (below left and right).
Hi everyone! We stopped by the Golden Oak development today, you can see the insignia on a fence (below, left) and the gatehouse (below, right). The Golden Oak is named after Walt Disney’s ranch outside of Los Angeles.

We went to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror on Sunday night to see what was new – and after we rode, we were told it wasn’t quite finished. It is finished now, and it includes a new drop sequence for Summer Nightastic, and you’ll see your photo just before you drop and at the end of the ride before the doors open again. There is also some old-time (40’s) music before the drop, and a star field where the 5th dimension normally is. At night, the Hollywood Tower glows green from the shafts (below left and right).
Hi everyone! Fantasyland has been undergoing quite a few changes, including the wall being moved to allow for better guest flow through the area. Scuttles Landing is now gone as is it’s canopy – but the tables and chairs remain (below left and right). |
