Hi everyone! Just a quick update today while working on my upcoming Halloween DVD featuring Mickey’s Halloween Party from Disneyland! Signs are up at Pollo Campero, which should be opening sometime in the next couple of months at Downtown Disney (below left and right).
Hi everyone! Duffy the Disney Bear made his big debut at Epcot yesterday, with hundreds of guests waiting for his arrival. Epcot Vice President Dan Cockerell and Liz Boice, Senior Vice President of Merchandise Development spoke to guests (below, left). Duffy and Mickey Mouse make their entrance with Ambassadors Vanessa Rosas and Clay Shoemaker (below, right).
Hi everyone! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2010 is in full swing, and there were even some changes from our first Halloween Party. The large, inflatable pumpkins at the Magic Kingdom turnstiles are now up (below, left) and a gigantic spider was projected onto Space Mountain (below, right). I haven’t seen this effect in several years!
Not So Scary Entrance Scenes Grab your trick-or-treat bag and enter into the most awaited Party of the year! Visions of pumpkins and eerie lighting effects will delight you as the fog rolls over the Magic Kingdom train station. We were at Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) yesterday to see family, and spent an extra couple of hours taking photos and video of the upcoming Art of Animation Resort (formerly it would have been Disney’s Pop Century Legendary Years, but it was never completed). We went to the 4th floor of a number of buildings to get photos and video of the construction (below, right).
Hi everyone! We were able to ride Space Mountain yesterday (below left), there is now music on 60 speakers throughout the ride – it isn’t an onboard ride track. There are also whooshing sounds that happen as you pass certain areas of the ride. We also noticed a spider web projection on the building, I have not seen this for a number of years – the last time being the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party from a couple of years back.
Hi everyone! It’s been a rainy week here in Orlando, but we’ve been able to get out and enjoy the parks a bit even so. At the Magic Kingdom looking towards Cinderella Castle (below, left), we noticed that new metallic railings had been installed – and it might have happened a little while back, but we don’t usually get into this area that normally is roped off for the dessert party. The Tomorrowland Terrace (below, right) is being used for a dinner buffet through the free dining August/September time period. |
