Walt Disney World Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, 2011 Edition Opening Day, New Villains Show, Boo-To-You Parade and Much More – Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

We attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last night, it’s first of the 2011 season! Inflated pumpkins welcomed us as we drove through the toll booth (below, left) and the yearly pumpkins in front of the train station looked especially festive (below, right). Halloween time is one of my favorite seasons at the park and it really get’s you in the mood to attend these early parties (and the candy doesn’t hurt either)!

Magic Kingdom Halloween Decorations, Fantasyland Construction Update including from Dumbo – Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

The Magic Kingdom is decked out for Halloween, and Denise took photos from the front of the park to all the way down Main Street USA (see the full set HERE). It looks really good this year, with new garland and wreaths! The display is outside as always for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (below, left). The Magic, Memories and You banner has displaced a couple of pumpkins, which are now inside the park at Town Square. But the front entrance looks great! (below, right).

Disney’s Art of Animation Construction Update, New Cars Buildings Paint Job, Walt Disney World – Photos & Video

Hi everyone!

We went to Disney’s Pop Century Resort (below, left) to take photos and video of the continuing progress on the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (below, right). The resort’s sections are themed after The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The Little Mermaid area is the only one that will have standard rooms as opposed to suites, utilizing the former buildings that were built originally for Pop Century’s never-built “The Legendary Years”.

Fantasyland Construction from Contemporary Roof, Walt Disney World 40th Collection, Enchanted Tiki Room Pre-Opening, Epcot Japan Pavilion New Kabuki Cafe – Photos & Video

Hi everyone!

This week we chose a different location for most of our Magic Kingdom photos and video, Disney’s Contemporary Resort. We went to the roof to get a great view of the Magic Kingdom (below, left). Beast’s Castle looks much smaller from a distance (below, right).

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room to Re-Open August 15th, Tropical Serenade Original Clyde and Claude Pre Show, Magic Kingdom Update – Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

We enjoyed a day with a friend who was celebrating his birthday yesterday, and found a lot of changes to the Magic Kingdom as we were walking around. The “Enchanted Tiki Room – Under New Management” sign was gone (below, left and right), and today Orlando Attractions Magazine reported the new “Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room” sign has been installed. We are very happy the attraction will now be back under Walt’s management!

Magic Kingdom Update: Main Street Vehicles, Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook New Meet & Greet in Adventureland, Fantasyland Construction – Photos & Video

Hi everyone!

Yesterday was a gorgeous, if hot day at the Magic Kingdom. The Main Street trolley was even making the rounds after 2pm! We enjoyed a few minutes of the Dapper Dans (below, left), before taking our group of 24 onto the trolley (below, right). We even sang a rousing version of “The Trolley Song“!

New “Let the Memories Begin” welcome sign and banners greet you as you enter the Magic Kingdom turnstiles!

Haunted Mansion Interactive Queue

You’re taking the “scenic route” through the Haunted Cemetery in this detailed tour of the newly enhanced graveyard. Linger on the menacing, marble busts that wait for you at the entrance. This interactive queue features the sea captain’s tomb (watch out for his sneeze, you may get wet!), and a crypt where you use your hands to create eerie sounds. Beloved Imagineer tributes remain, plus some spooky new surprises – there’s no turning back now!

Haunted Mansion Ride

The hitchhiking ghosts are waiting to play – and you just might lose your head! Enjoy a full ride-through of this updated classic attraction, including the stretch room; the new hitchhiking ghosts animatronics; and several versions of the mischievous, interactive ending.

Snow White’s Scary Adventures

This opening day Walt Disney World attraction has been captivating audiences for nearly 40 years. Scheduled to close for the Walt Disney World Fantasyland expansion, you can enjoy it for years to come!

Pirates of the Caribbean

Set sail in your private boat past favorite scenes including Captain Barbossa on the Wicked Wench, multiple appearances from Captain Jack Sparrow, and the famous jail scene!  Added this summer to the mist screen is Blackbeard, who replaces Davy Jones. As you walk off the ride, you’ll hear Blackbeard bidding you farewell, and letting you know that “the fates have spoken”.

The Magic, The Memories, and You!

Enjoy a perfect view of this nighttime spectacular, which features breathtaking projections on Cinderella Castle. Gasp as a turret turns into a launching rocket, and as pirates set the castle on fire! Vibrant colors combine with familiar characters, culminating in a conclusion that features Walt Disney projected on the castle, proclaiming, “To all who come to this happy place – welcome”. This is a show you’ll never forget!

BONUS: Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky

Shot from Disney’s Polynesian Resort Beach for a complete view of the fireworks, this patriotic arrangement of pyrotechnics has delighted audiences on Independence Day since the show debuted in 2008. With stars bursting in the sky above the
brightly lit American flags of Disney’s Electrical Water Pageant, it’s hard not to get a lump in your throat during the awe-inspiring finale!

Relive these Disney summertime memories year after year or experience the magic for the first time by purchasing a copy of “Jeff Lange’s Magic Kingdom Summertime 2011”.
