Hi everyone! Yesterday was a busy one at the Magic Kingdom. The Mickey Christmas ornament is now replaced with a more traditional Mickey at the front of the park (below, left). Scrims are up around Main Street U.S.A. (below, right), as the end of the holiday season always seems to lead to a few months of extensive rehabs.

We attended the D23 Expo this past weekend, and one of our favorite parts of the event was the Carousel of Projects (below, left). This area provided a look at different projects in many areas of the company, including Aulani at the Disney Vacation Club and Fantasyland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The Fantasyland expansion includes the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (below, right), we have video that shares how it will work.
Hi everyone! We had a fantastic time at Destination D! The event was full of wonderful Disney memories, and we made some new ones as well. There was even a small Archives area which consisted of characters such as Donald Duck, Panchito and José Carioca from the classic Mickey Mouse Revue (below, left) and Figment from the original Journey into Imagination. (below, right).
Hi everyone! Today we spent the afternoon at the Magic Kingdom to check out the latest changes and enjoy the park before the crowds hit again. We rode the Liberty Belle with friends to get a look at the interactive Haunted Mansion queue as it readies for it’s imminent opening (below, left). A couple of busts sit against the brick wall (below, right).
Hi everyone! We had a very full day at Walt Disney World yesterday, with a short visit to Epcot before heading to the Magic Kingdom. We ended our day at Animal Kingdom, for the Expedition Everest 5th Anniversary Passholder Event. Our first stop at the Magic Kingdom was to ride the Walt Disney World Railroad, and it was the first day of the Storybook Circus and New Fantasyland artwork now being on the walls (below left and right). There is now a solid wall where the mesh fence used to be. Hi everyone! Epcot is looking beautiful as topiaries and flowers are added for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! A new topiary set went up in the lawn behind Spaceship Earth, Mickey and Minnie having a picnic with Pluto (below left and right). Pluto holds a kite spool in his mouth, but the kite is stuck in the tree!
Hi everyone! Mickey’s Toontown Fair has closed forever to make way for the Fantasyland expansion, but we spent the last few hours on Friday enjoying this land before the walls went up around it for good. We entered Mickey’s Toontown Fair by train (below, left) and took a couple of last rides on Goofy’s Barnstormer (below, right), which will be rethemed as The Great Goofini as part of the expansion (below, right). |
